Learn About Her Life and Her PregnancySienna Beard More Papers Would it be good if all debt were merely magically gone? Debt can be so overwhelming especially if you seek to pay off your debt on a very limited budget. If you don’t have a lot of extra money making debt payments can seem like a waste of money or even impossible to make. Often, it’s easy to get upset when you have a large amount of debt and so much of the expenses are going to interest. Almost always, though, you are better off making even a small payment rather than no payment at all. If you don’t have an emergency fund or just get by and can’t even pay your current bills then you might need to concentrate on those issues right now. However you should pay off your debt if you have any funds available. Even with a limited budget, here are five ways to get out of debt.

1. Create a payment plan

You need a plan if you want to get out of the debt particularly with a strict budget. Start by deciding how much debt you have, and write down the various lenders you owe money to. Then order your payments by whatever debt you think is due first (you can assess this by looking at the amount owed by the terms of the loan and the interest rate). Next you have to figure out how much you can afford to pay off every month. Bankrate has a calculator which can assist with debt pay-down. Once you’ve decided how much you can pay each month you’ll need to find out how much of that total amount goes to each loan. Paying off a high interest loan in its entirety has a lot of advantages but if you have a loan that doesn’t need payments yet (like a school loan) you should also be factoring in that and probably pay off other loans first. Another relevant argument is that you should still seek to negotiate a repayment plan with your lenders if you are deeply in debt, which will allow you to will your payments or obtain better terms for loans.

2. Set up automatic deductions

Cut costs anywhere that makes sense | Thinkstock This tip sounds simple at first but if you’re on a tight budget you can’t really get out of your debt if you don’t cut costs (or you’re going to take a long time to – your debt). Start by reviewing your monthly spending, and see what you can improve. Cutting spending would leave more funds available to help you cover your debt. This may mean you are not eating out at restaurants cutting cable TV or choosing to work out at home or outside instead of in the gym. If your budget is already quite small, it can be difficult to find areas to cut, but cutting expenses will really help you get out of your debt faster “as long as you use the extra money to pay off your debt. Just minor cuts often make a difference like making coffee at home, rather than rushing into a store on the way to work.

If you want different results, you need to change your current methods Thinkstock Originally this advice sounds a lot like cutting costs, but it’s very different actually. You got into debt somewhere and there are a number of possible reasons for that. You may have debt such as a home mortgage or school loans and those debts are likely to be entirely legitimate and even necessary. You might also have debt in the past because of bad spending choices. Either way, if you want to get out of debt fast you have to agree to stop spending now. It means that even if a mortgage is a good loan you must be diligent in paying off that debt and you must also be happy not to go out and buy a bigger or more luxurious house. If you have credit card debt, stay away from shops (or wherever you are tempted to excessively use your card) and choose not to spend money. Whether you’re a conscientious spender or an impulse spender if you really want to be debt-free, you need to choose to pay down debt instead of adding more.

Sometimes we can’t do it on our own | Thinkstock Getting support from a credit counseling service might be a good idea if you feel frustrated by your debt or just don’t know how to move forward. To get started guidance on how to handle your current financial problems, you can look at the National Credit Counseling Foundation to advise on how to manage your money, and even help create a plan. People often question themselves whether they should borrow money to pay off debt. You may consider consolidating your lending if you have multiple different debts. Of course you want to take into account the interest rate and loan information of any new loan that you might consider. However, an unsecured short-term loan is very risky and, if possible, it is often best to avoid these. While few people want to seek help from their parents or other family members if you know someone who can afford to help you pay off your loans in exchange for a no-interest (or even lower interest) loan, this might be a good idea if you agree on the terms. Having a limited budget shouldn’t stop you from paying off your debt but it sure does make it harder. These five tips could help. More from Work Career Cheat Sheet:

Ashlee Simpson

Ninety pop star Jessica Simpson’s younger sister almost stole the spotlight back in 2004 when she had her own hit single and reality show, but that ended abruptly when Ashlee was asked to play on SNL. While people should avoid asking pop stars to sing when they do it, it still causes uproar when they re-evidently sing about it. Simpson came out on stage performing her hit Pieces of Me and her voice began singing but her mouth did not. She went on to become really humiliated and do an odd little jig and run offstage as SNL was forced to cut to commercial. She then accused her band during the show s closing credits of playing the wrong song. This could go down in history as the worst musical performance on SNL all-time. What’s probably even worse for Simpson is what she’s always best known for. 3. Iggy Azalea and MO

Rap queen Iggy Azalea premiered her new single Ask For It featuring Danish singer MO on the chorus in October. When the pair took the SNL stage, Azalea was in her super-confident state, but since it was MO’s first appearance on television, the singer seemed very confused on stage to the point that it even distracted Queen Bee Azalea. MO sang off track from her backing vocals skipping her steps in dance and looking like a deer caught in headlights around the stage. MO later released a handwritten message on Instagram MO congratulations on your first TV! (It’s just getting easier!)

Ke$ha NBC It can be easily forgotten that pop starlet Ke$ha was thought to be controversial about five minutes back in 2010 when she performed her all-time hit Tik Tokworst. The gestures of costumes and dances were surreal in her attempt to rap was the kind of thing that you wish you could unhear and she used her moment in the spotlight to pose the insightful philosophical question Does anyone ever stop thinking we might be the aliens? For Your Love Is My Addiction her singing somehow got worse. Since then the singer hasn’t had a hit but was in the headlines for ending up abusing and attacking her in rehabhe.
