Malcare researchers have discovered two crucial and extremely serious vulnerabilities that underpin the WordPress plugins “Ultimate Dons for Elementor” and “Ultimate Dons for Beaver Builder.” Ultimate dons is a commonly used plugin that helps designers of WordPress websites to build their websites much more quickly and easily. Hundreds of thousands of websites were developed out there using Ultimate Dons as these tools allow non-tech-savvy to achieve the desired results without much effort. That said, it is hugely important to discover a weakness in these plugins and especially one that is very easy to exploit. Malcare found that hackers were able to gain admin access to any website that had installed the above plugins potentially having full control of the aim. The finding took place on the 11th of December 2019 and within a few hours a patch was released immediately.
