Apple hasn’t made any mention of the release but the simple word processing software will make sense to make its way to iOS. TextEdit is not currently available in the iOS 10 beta, nor has it been found in any of the iOS 10 samples from Apple. TextEdit was previously spotted on iOS, thanks to an iOS 8 pre-release screenshot alongside a Preview feature. At the time it was thought that both would make it into the final version of Apple’s iOS 8 but neither did. Bell argues that the current leak does not confirm that TextEdit will come to iOS and speculates that while the software is likely to be used for testing purposes within Apple, the company may not think consumers need it, particularly since it is free to download pages and other word processors. 3.
