Film director and screenwriter Jonathan A. Levine was born on June 18, 1976 in New York City, in the United States.
Jonathan began his career in the world of cinema as an assistant director Paul schrader, when he filmed the movie “Defocused (Auto Focus)“(2002); he was also an assistant director on the feature film”Deep Down in Florida“(2004), directed by Sam esmail.
That same year 2004 he wrote and directed his first short, entitled “Shards“who followed”Love Bytes” in 2005.
A year later he made his directorial debut on his first feature film, a horror thriller titled “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane“(2006), whose protagonists were Amber heard Y Anson mount.
His next job as a director was “The Wackness“(2008) about a story of his authorship and starring Josh peck, Ben kingsley Y Olivia thirlby. Levine for this work he won the Audience Award at the Sundance Festival, as well as the Best Screenplay Award at the Independent Spirit Award and Best Picture at the Melbourne Film Festival.
Most recently he released “50/50“(2011), dramatic comedy written by Will reiser which featured a cast headed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth rogen, Anna kendrick Y Anjelica huston. The film was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards (Best Musical or Comedy Film and Best Actor for Joseph Gordon-Levitt), prelude to the Oscars.
His next feature film will be “Warm Bodies“(2012), a romantic horror drama, which he wrote and starring Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer Y John malkovich. What’s more Levine He is currently working on four other film projects of which, to date, only their titles are known: “Echelon Vendetta“,”Jamaica“,”Legend” Y “Little Girl Lost“.
