Son of Alvin Y Jill segel, has an older brother named Adam and a younger sister named Alison.
He grew up in Pacific Palisades, where he attended an Episcopal Church school, and subsequently graduated from the Harvard-Westlake School, where he was a member of the basketball team.
While studying, he participated in various theatrical productions at the Palisades Playhouse.
Segel is known for playing the “Freak” Nick Andopolis in the dramatic comedy of NBC “Freaks and Geeks”, Where he met Linda Cardellini, with whom he had a relationship for a time.
He had a recurring role in “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, Where he interpreted Neil Jansen, It was Eric on “Undeclared”, And since 2005 it can be seen on the sitcom of CBS “How i met your mother”, Where he plays Marshall eriksen.
