Jane Eyre 1944 – Movie Jane Eyre 1944

Directed by Robert Stevenson in 1944, Jane Eyre is based on the famous novel of the same name by writer Charlotte Brontë. The feature film was starred by two leading actors: Orson Welles and Joan Fontaine.

The feature film focuses on the character of Jane Eyre, a young woman who was orphaned as a child and whose childhood has been marked by misadventures.

One day the young woman is hired by Edgard Rochester, a man with a lot of money, so that Jane lives in his mansion as a governess for her little daughter.

Jane will fall in love with Edgard, but a tragic event from Edgard’s past will come between them.
