Jackal 1973 – Movie Jackal 1973

Directed by Fred Zinnemann in 1973, “Jackal” is a co-production between the United States and France. The script was commissioned by Kenneth Ross, who adapted it from the novel of the same title written by Frederick Forsyth.

The cast of the feature film was starred by Edward Fox and Michael Lonsdale. It should be noted that in 1997 a remake of the film was made.

The story of the film revolves around the attempt to assassinate Charles de Gaulle, president of France, by the far-right organization OES (Organization of the Secret Army), which was founded in 1961 and under the command of which General Raoul Salan was there.

For this purpose, they hire the services of a hit man who calls himself “Jackal”.
