How is it that

More Bad News For Smartphone Makers Jacqueline Sahagian More Articles February 12, 2014 A new report from Raymond James analyst Tavis McCourt has some bad news for the smartphoon McCourt predicts that non-Chinese smartphone markers will see zero growth in 2014, though Investors Business Daily notes on a research note. “The great moderation of the rise of mobile devices is upon us,” McCourt wrote by Business Daily Investors. McCourt’s research supports previous findings that the first-world smartphone market has nearly reached full saturation where the only smartphone vendors sell will be replacements and updates rather than first-time smartphone owners. McCourt also found that Apple and Samsung will continue to take up 100 per cent of the revenues from the smartphone industry as other firms continue to lose revenue. Apple took 87.4 per cent of the industry’s earnings during the last quarter of 2013 and Samsung took 32.2 per cent. Combined, these results were higher than the industry’s total earnings as other firms lost money during the period, leading the two mobile powerhouses to account for more than 100 percent of the industry’s overall profits. “Where any non-Chinese vendor except Apple and Samsung will get the money needed to reinvest in the company remains unclear to us,” McCourt said. “The mobile device market continues to look like an Apple and Samsung market in the developed world, with Chinese-based vendors continuing to dominate in emerging markets.” Recent research by Strategy Analytics found that the growth of global smartphone shipments shrank another hint of dark clouds to the industry’s horizon for the first time in 2013. Global smartphone shipments rose to a record 990 million units by 41 per cent in 2013. Given all those smartphones shipped for the year, growth in global smartphone shipments fell from 43 percent in 2012 to 41 percent in 2013 due to high penetration in some major markets such as the company said the United States. Apple and Samsung will not be left untouched by changes in the market. Both businesses reported results for the fourth quarter that began to show the impact of market saturation on their finances. Although Apple sold a record 51 million iPhones in the fourth quarter that number was smaller than analysts had anticipated and lead to concern that there is little space left to grow for the iPhone. Overall this is particularly bad news for smartphone manufacturers as had the right idea to sell Motorola to Lenovo (LNVGY.PK) Chinese vendor. McCourt has previously called the “Great Moderation of Smartphones” saturation trend, and claims that the smartphone market will soon begin to resemble the PC market.

Fred Topel More Articles February 09 2020 The Oscars surely don’t think Bong Joon Ho is an idiot. They rewarded him with Best Picture Best Director Best Screenplay awards and Best International FeatureTV seriesDirecthe movie had strong words for him.6/6.403 6/6.403 Figure 2 Park So-dam and Choi Woo-sik in Parasite | Neon CJ Entertainment Just after we began creating the rich house collection I had several requests. When I was writing the script I already had a simple outline of the house layout in mind. It was virtually impossible to tell the story without that certain structure. There are also a lot of things in terms of the framework that were important for the plot. If some characters speak here another character must have eavesdropped or peaked. You had to get through the front door to see the staircase. There were some different criteria that I had. Bong Joon Ho Parasite DVD and Blu-ray Bong Joon Ho consulted a real architect for Parasite 6/6.404 6/6.404 Figure 3 L-R: Choi Woo-Shik Song Kang-ho Chang Hyae-jin and Park So-dam in Parasite Neon CJ Entertainment So the production designer was actually seeking guidance from the actual architects to create this building. The production manager would take my proposal to the actual architect and the architect would be like who would create houses like this? No-one is designing houses like this. And with those remarks the architect would come back to me and I would still have all these things I asked him to do. So between me and the architect he was suffering really. The house ended up coming out perfectly. I managed to get all the structure and blocking the story needed. Bong Joon Ho Parasite DVD and Blu-ray One scene that paid off the unorthodox in Parasite 6/6.405 6/6.405 Figure 4 Bong Joon Ho and interpreter Sharon Choi | Kevin Winter/Getty Images In fact it is very unusual for the wealthy and the poor to come so together that they can smell each other. In this film you have circumstances where, by tutoring or housekeeping and driving, they get really close to each other. And that sex scene is kind of on the edge of that weird intimacy. And it’s not about sex. It’s about the family that s hiding beneath the table, peeping at that very intimate part of their private lives. So I figured that would give the film a really strong suspense. Bong Joon Ho Parasite DVD and Blu-ray Bong Joon Ho built more than the house 6/6.406 6/6.406 Figure 5 Lee Sun-kyun and Jo Yeo-jeong in Parasite Neon CJ Entertainment Another difficult thing was the poor house and surrounding neighborhood that Bong had said. Also, they were sets we created. Also because we had to flood the entire neighborhood we built a water tank in a huge swimming pool and dumped it in waste water on the last day of the shoot. This resembles dirty water. For the actors, that was very clean water. It had the face masks in the water really safe and good for your skin like mud face masks.
