In reality, Kate was supposed to attend Edinburgh University, but according to sources close to her, once she got the wind that Will was going to attend St. Andrews, she changed her mind and decided to go to school, hoping to win him over. To add even more to the mystery of how Will and Kate met Kate’s friend once said she met Will before going to school. They had friends with each other and until she met Will that s when things were ostensibly changing in terms of where she wanted to go to college. Royal biographer Katie Nicholl has disclosed to E! And a friend told Kate and she had initially intended to go to school in Edinburgh, before she met Prince William. It’s uncertain if Kate actually changed schools to attract Will’s attention but it seems odd that the timing was perfectly aligned; she meets Will then change her mind to go with him to school.
