Oliver said he was “not sure if their values or the education they are providing are worse.” In 2015, the government began to control for-profit colleges more stringently. The Department of Education has even disciplined Corinthian Colleges for misrepresenting their job placement rates in order to bring in more students.

The paid family leave segment (2015) In 2015 John Oliver harshly criticized the new United States parental leave program laws in a very appropriate Mother’s Day segment. While the federal regulations stayed more or less the same requiring corporations to provide 12 weeks of unpaid maternity leave to new moms many companies moved individually towards more progressive poles. The first to act was Netflix who revealed they would give “unlimited” parental leave during a child’s first year of life. Microsoft came next with a program that made parental leave paid for 12 weeks. One big company to take action was Adobe, who changed their policy to allow new moms to take up to six months of paid leave and up to 16 weeks for new dads.

That said some research has shown that the ideal age gap is only one year, and as the age difference gets bigger, the chances of divorce increase. This is most likely, though, since things that are important in a relationship (i.e. shared values of worldviews, etc.) will differ between generations. As such people in relationships with significant age differences in some critical aspects of their lives may find themselves unable to relate to their partners. Every relationship ultimately requires effort to maintain it, and age can often be just a number. There are reports that Richie and Disick are serious about each other, and that they might soon settle down. Only time will say whether the pair could or could not beat the odds.
