Hacker Exploits 50000 Printers

YouTube Settles Litigation With Channel Extortionist UserByBill Toulas-October 16, 2019.118 A U.S. YouTube user agreed to pay $25k and use the video platform to resolve a dispute. This case serves as a warning to all YouTubers attempting to exploit the Dmca program. Christopher Brady, a resident of the United States, agreed to pay $25,000 to settle the Dmca abuse case that YouTube brought against him at Nebraska District Court. After a month the man found there was not much he could do to protect himself against the internet video giant and agreed to pay the sum as well as to apologize to the public. YouTube wants this case to serve as an example for others who may seek to do the same bribery of channel owners for a few hundred dollars in exchange. This is an act that we defined in July in more accurate and fair copyright claim framework in great detail back in January. Anyone who continues to misuse the Dmca claims system will from now on face dire consequences and that’s what happened to Mr. Brady. The scammer claimed to be the legitimate owner of the material he had posted on other posts. He then proceeded to ask his victims for money and threatened to report them again if they wouldn’t pay. The message he sent to others was this: “We struck you down. Our fee is $150 PayPal, or $75 Btc. You can send the money through goods / services if you don’t think we’re going to cancel or hold back our offer. “Brandy acknowledged that during his apologetic message he sent hundreds of these notes. While the case won’t go to “jury trial-level,” for Dmca abussing scammers it sure was a bashing example. Christopher Brady will not use YouTube again and the site has been pleased with the case’s final outcome. Most significantly, it is not the money that gets propagated but the message. As for the scammer’s victims, all of them had their channel statuses restored. They may also be given some form of additional compensation to compensate for the injuries they suffered. To have your channel down obviously affects your commitment to followership and community development. Apple iPhone Flagships to Receive Price Cuts in International Markets

ByNitish Singh-January 30 2019.119 Figure 1 Photo Courtesy of Cnet Apple is struggling to get foreign users to buy the latest iPhone models. For some international markets, the company may reduce the prices of its iPhone Xs models, and implement regional pricing. Amid concerns surrounding Apple’s iPhone sales the Cupertino tech giant is planning to drop prices on some markets for its latest iPhone Xs flagship smartphones. Thanks to an unprecedented holiday season in Q4 2018, iPhone revenue was estimated to have fallen by 15 per cent. Recently, Apple revised its earnings guidance to remind everyone that lower sales are to be expected and also due to the recent halting of the battery replacement programChinese market price-sensitive but the recent Us-China trade war does not support Apple’s case either. China is also home to brands such as Xiaomi and Huawei that are renowned for selling competitively priced phones packed with apps. Apple claims the conversion rate for the Us dollar is the biggest culprit. Although the iPhone Xs cost exactly the same as the previous X series, China’s new conversion rate has resulted in a much higher local price. The same applies to a variety of other price-sensitive markets such as India too. Ceo Tim Cook revealed in a statement “We decided to go back to (iPhone prices) more in line with what our local prices were a year ago in hopes of helping sales in those areas.” Market saturation and less eager users to upgrade were also addressed as potential reasons for experts ‘ decline in sales.
