Brendan Morrow More Articles September 12, 2017 Anna Faris says she never saw Chris Pratt as her best friend even though she claims Allison Janney has become a close confidant. “I was once told I didn’t need a close girlfriends group because Chris was supposed to be my best friend,” she writes. “But this I never ordered. Your mate’s idea to be your best friend, “it’s overhyped. I genuinely believe that your partner serves one purpose and each friend serves another.” Faris goes on to say that each friend serves a different function in a person’s life whether it is a friend you can speak to when you feel lonely the person you can complain about working with the friend you have known since childhood etc. This comes after a segment where Faris says she once considered herself a “guys girl” valuing male friendships over female friends, but she soon realized that she was not getting enough satisfaction from these people. 5/5.1017 Anna Faris, 5/5.1017, April 2017. Daniel Leal / Getty Images Today Faris says she has a close group of female friends, one of whom is Allison Janney, her mom co-star. But she continues by saying that the idea of having best friends, like the idea of rating people, is kind of messed up. The upcoming book of Anna Faris is named Unqualified which is also the name of the podcast on which she gives the listeners life advice that she jokes she is completely unqualified to dispense with. The book was written before it was revealed that she would isolate anything that does not seem to be addressed in Unqualified from her husband Chris Pratt. Chris Pratt has even written the preface to the novel. 5/5.1018 5/5.1018 Anna Faris and Chris Pratt

I was excited and when I got the book deal for the first time, I thought what a great adventure it would be. And now that it’s getting closer I’m anxious in the sense that I’ve always been able to hide behind characters and now it’s me like that. And it feels a bit disturbing.
