The new Squoosh software will also be made available to mobile users and supports a wide range of formats. The software is open source, and its code is available on GitHub for public viewing. Squoosh will be available on any site to not just Chrome users but other browsers as well. While there are a range of photo editors available in the browser, Chrome Labs built the app to be as quick as possible as a way to showcase the capabilities of modern web browsers. Once you have Squoosh on your browser, you can use it without internet, since all features are offline. The software can convert and customize your files, and includes not only your usual formats for Jpeg and Png, but also OptiPng Moz and WebP. The app provides a preview of the output in real time using a slider that allows you to switch back and forth between the images “before” and “after.” Squoosh is open source and in the GitHub repository you can search the code of the software online. Photoshop provides enough functionality and speed to edit images on the go without having to go to your desktop photo editor. Grip.
