Gennaro Gattuso – Biography of Gennaro Gattuso

Gennaro Gattuso was born on January 9, 1978 in Corigliano Calabro, Italy.

He started playing for Perugia Calcio at a young age, although at an early age (19 years) he decided to go to play in the Scottish league, signing for Glasgow Rangers. There he played only one season, although that served him to gain experience of the Scottish hard game and then put it into practice in the Italian.

He was signed by Salernitana Sport, although he would only play there for 10 months, being transferred to AC Milan. In this team he made himself known quickly, winning the UEFA Champions League 2002-2003 and the Italian league, being chosen as one of the 23 players to play the 2006 Soccer World Cup in Germany.

Finally, on July 9, 2006, the Italian Soccer Team was proclaimed champion for the fourth time in the world, defeating the powerful France.
