Garret dillahunt was born in 1964 in Castro Valley, California, United States.

He grew up in Washington State, and attended the University of Washington, where he studied journalism.
He later moved to New York, where he graduated in acting from the New York University.

After working years in theater, Garret began to land roles in television and movies.

He was seen regularly in various series of ABC and popular shows like “The X Files” Y “NYPD Blue”, Among others, until two of his most important roles arrived, both in the series“Deadwood“: In 2004 he played Jack mccall and in 2005 to Francis Wolcott.
