I used a flat iron to curl this image. This look has been accomplished with the product line Surface Curls. If dealing with flat irons and curling iron, heat control is a must. A light-hold hair spray should be added once the curls are formed to help hold the curls but still have mobility. Overall, at the same time, this look is classy and edgy.

It is my go-to look when a customer wants short hair without a short pixie and has a natural body or texture in their skin! To clients with those natural bends and waves in their hair, short bobs to wavy hair are perfect. Under the occipital bone, weight can be taken out to keep the back from poofing where the hair is densest, so that it also works for thick hair. Using a textured lotion for dimension and power, this look can be a simple fresh style for the wash-and-go gals. I like a partly dried or diffused Oribe Matte Waves. If your hair doesn’t help, a wand or flat iron will easily give you the effortlessly wavy look. For most face shapes, this cut works. To elongate the look, round faces might want to leave more length in the front.

There’s a great variation of this short haircut that can suit different styles of hair. In a C shape starting at the root and pulling down towards the ends, a smoothing iron with a comb or blow dryer and a paddle brush could be used. This is a very dark brown foundation undercut bob with a light caramel balayage. This is a flexible style that can be swept straight pinned to either side or combed back or forward. I built a messy bob in that situation. Balayage applied to any hair color gives it a subtle change or dramatic depending on what is at the ends of the desired lightness. With the addition of Keune Freedom Blonde Clay Lightener + Keune Bond Fusion, I used Keune Tinta Color Level 3 on her roots for this customer. Then I toned Keune Semi Line (permanent demi). This was this client’s second balayage request so we started with a Level 1 foundation. I also contact customers beforehand to clarify that these strategies can take multiple appointments to reach the level of lightness they are after. Once you have achieved the desired level of lightness, from that point on it may be low maintenance. Unlike conventional foil highlighting, you do not need appointments every 4-6 weeks with balayage techniques. Undercut bobs are great for coarse / thick hair as they get rid of excess bulk and still look full. This cut can also work for you if you have medium to fine hair. People usually have more hair in the nape compared to the sides and back. My client has coarse, thick wavy hair in this picture. I used Keune Care Vital Nutrition Thermal Cream and Keune Care Keratin Smooth Smoothing Serum to blow-dry and then waved with a flat iron to finish with Keune Blend Sea Salt Spray. If you have finer hair, I would suggest blowing dry items such as Keune Style Blowout Gelee or Keune Style Thickening Cream, and finishing with Keune Style Sea Salt Mist. For almost any face shape, undercut bobs are very flexible as you can go extremely short on top or hold it longer to the middle of the chest. The undercut may be in the area of the nape or nape and the ears above, or just a side shave. It has endless length and style combinations.
