The famous and renowned writer named Elsa Bougmolov, better known as Elsa Triolet, was born in Moscow, on September 12, 1896.
This woman has studied architecture, she began her writing career in 1924, completely convinced that she would be able to practice it.
In 1927, he lived in Berlin and then the following year, he published three novels, he met Louis Aragón, whom he always accompanied when he married for life, his inseparable companion. First he has done it in Russian, his native language, then in French, but always without stopping writing, as he has done with numerous works.

Then in 1945 he received the Goncourt prize, the award most coveted by French writers, with “The first slip costs” two hundred francs, which gave him a boost to take flight with his career. then she takes on her role as a translator. With this new stage he undertakes a work of exceptional importance for universal culture: he pours from Russian into French, for the first time, the poetry of Mayakovsky, his brother-in-law. In addition, she has translated Chekhov’s theater and directs the publication of an anthology of Russian poetry. Elsa has been honorary president of the National Committee of French Writers, born in the Resistance of 1941. Her intellectual activity went beyond the limits of the library culture or the heavy gray and gray head of the contemplative poet or philosopher, for which she has acted with belligerence in contemporary political struggles.
