A few hours later, the music video had received millions of views at the top trending spot on the social networking site. The song “Soul” is the first single from the movie The Lion King of Disney and Beyoncà ©: The Gift. With this additional soundscape distinct from The Lion King’s soundtrack motion picture artists from Africa perform songs influenced by the history and music of the film and African art culture. Beyoncà © Knowles-Carter has of course played a role in producing and curating the record. “This album is a love letter to Africa and I wanted to make sure we find Africa’s best talent and not just use some of the sounds and do my interpretation of it,” Beyoncà © said during a Good Morning America interview. “We have developed our own genre, and I feel like the soundtrack in your mind is visual. Fans reacted to the new music video on Twitter. “How Beyoncé transformed Nala’s position into a black and African culture celebration, a masterpiece album something bigger than just a movie is amazing and so smart,” one fan said on Twitter. “I am persuaded that Beyoncà © is an ancient goddess who came down to earth and that her backup dancers are her nymphs,” another member of Twitter said. Beyoncà © posted a link to the “Spirit” video as its second tweet this year. Some fans poked fun at the artist, with one Twitter user commenting on her rare tweets “omg you re tweet!
