Actor and composer David calder He was born on August 1, 1946 in the city of Portsmouth, in England.

Trained as a classical actor at the Old Vic Theater School, Calder has an impressive career full of outstanding works in film theater and television, beginning in 1970.

An easily recognizable talent in the UK, Calder may be remembered to foreign audiences for his interpretation of Sir Robert King in the movie of James bond, “The world is never enough“(1999). He also worked, among others, in”Perfume, the story of a murderer“(2007) and in”The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor“(2008).

Undoubtedly, the classic British actor has stood out for many of his television roles both in series and in miniseries and telefilms. In addition to his acting career, Calder is also a composer being responsible for the soundtrack of Roger Donaldson’s film, starring Sam Neill, “Sleeping Dogs“(1977).
