Actor, comedian, writer, director and producer David scott foley He was born on January 4, 1963 in the town of Etobicoke (Ontario), Canada.

Foley dropped out of high school to pursue stand-up comedy, which he performed for a year at the Toronto Second City Training Center, where he took improvisation classes. There he met Kevin McDonald, who landed him a job as a cashier at the local arts center ticket offices, and together they created the original group of The Kids in the Hall.

In his personal life, he has two children named Basil and Edmund, the result of the relationship with his first wife Tabitha Southey, whom he divorced in 1997. In August 2002 he married the actress Crissy Guerrero, with whom he had his daughter Alina Chiara. The couple divorced in 2008.
