Darren lynn bousman is a well-known American-born film director and writer, recently famous for directing the film series “Saw”.
Darren lynn bousman was born January 11, 1979 in the city of Overland parks located within the state of Kansas in the United States of America.
His childhood developed really calm, within the framework of a totally normal family, unlike many of the stars of Hollywood.
When he reached adolescence, he began to watch a lot of cinema and discovered that this would become one of his passions in the future. Once he graduated from high school, he enrolled in the Full Sail Real Word Education, inside the film school.
Already graduated, he began to look for work in different film studios where he was hired to make various music videos of some not very well known bands.
This is how he spent his first years in the business, until he was able to create his first independent feature film “Butterfly dreams“Which premiered at the 2000 and was quickly followed by “Identity Lost” the next year.
Soon after, Bousman’s creativity forced him to write many scripts for films that he wanted to make. Unfortunately many of these were not accepted by the producers and he had to rest his ideas a bit.
In the 2004, Leigh whannell he heard that there was a boy who was sending really violent scripts that looked a lot like what he had been “Saw”(The game of fear in its Latin American version).
When he read the project that Bousman had called “The Desperate”, Decided to hire him as the director of the sequel and helped him rewrite the script so that it would fit within the universe that he himself had created.
In this way Bousman achieved fame by directing “Saw II“Which premiered at the 2005. The following year he returned to sign as director of what was “Saw III”Premiered on October 27, 2006 with resounding success.
After directing the latter, Bousman made an official announcement where he stressed that he would never again direct any film of “Saw“As he wanted to prepare for a new project called”Repo! The Genetic Opera”.
The February 19, 2007, Leigh whannell made public the participation of Bousman as director of “Saw IV”Since the director would have time before the pre-production of his new film was finished.
In the end “Repo! The Genetic Opera”Became a rock musical with a rather morbid plot: in a chaotic future a company is dedicated to generating organs that it sells to humanity because of an epidemic that attacks them.
Production of this film began in September 2007 and has the great Yoshiki Hayashi, one of the band members X-Japan, as a music producer. The launch is scheduled for April 25, 2008.
