Colin McFarlane He was born in London, England on September 15, 1961.
Colin has a deep and imposing voice and also has a great talent for locution. The vast majority of the work he did were made for television movies, appearances in series and he voiced many characters from both animated films and video games. He has also participated in documentaries.
His professional career began in 1985 in a telefilm entitled “Dutch Girls”. In the same year he participated in 3 episodes of the series “Dempsey & Makepeace”.
In ’92, he worked as an announcer in 3 episodes of the series “Sean’s Show”, played the Lt. Parkinson in the series “Tales from the Poop Deck”, appeared in an episode of “Virtual Murder” interpreting the Professor Daniels and worked on the movie “In Dreams” playing the role of a journalist.
The following year he continued with his appearances in series, this time in an episode of “Jeeves and Wooster”.
In 1994, he did his first job as a broadcaster for an animated series titled “Shakespeare: The Animated Tales”. He worked on an episode doing the voice of Otello.
In 1996, he worked as an announcer giving the voice to characters in a computer game titled “Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars”.
In the following years he made appearances in numerous series, such as “The Fast Show”, “The Thin Blue Line”, “Dennis the Menace”, “Kiss me Kate”; put the voice of God and Goliath in an animated series called “Testament: The Bible in animation”; participated in some movies for TV, such as “Circles of Deceit: Kalon” Y “Ted & Ralph”; and put the voices for some video games: “Urban Chaos”, “G Police” Y “City of Lost Children” among others.
After continuing to voice various games (such as “Constantine”) and animated series, in 2005 he received the first film role in a Hollywood blockbuster: “Batman starts” from Christopher Nolan, in which it is the turn of the Commissioner Gillian Loeb.
This role would be retaken 3 years later, in 2008, in the sequel to said film, entitled “The dark knight”, sharing scenes with great actors like Gary oldman, Christian bale, Heath ledger And several more.
He also worked on episodes of various BBC series, such as “Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps” and he was also the announcer of the awards ceremony “The National Television Awards” in 2007.
He also gave voice to the documentary “Mysteries of Easter Island”.
