Lee Byung-hun was born on 12 July 1970 to parents Lee Jong-kun and Park Jae-soon in Gwangju, a town in the south Korean province of Gyeonggi. He is one of the first two South Korean actors to put on the forecourt of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood Los Angeles the imprints of their hands and feet, the other being veteran actor Ahn Sung-ki.
