Behati Prinsloo was born in Groorfontein, Namibia on May 16, 1989. Her father is a minister and her mother runs a Bed and Breakfast.
I was a 16-year-old teenager when a photographer discovers her in a supermarket in Cape Town. The professional worked at the Storm agency and when Behati arrived a few weeks later, the first photographs were taken to open his portfolio.
Sarah Doukas, founder of the agency was delighted with the model, immediately taking her to work in the city of London.
The fame of the model grew rapidly and appeared in the cover of magazines like Muse and the Telegraph Magazine. Later, she was the cover of the Russian edition of Vogue magazine in February 2007 and worked in various advertising campaigns for Jadore, Chanel, H&M, Hugo Boss, Nina Ricci among others and has participated in fashion shows for Prada, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Versace, Chanel and DKNY.
Prinsloo was also at Victoria’s Secret shows several years, starting in 2007 through 2013 on a continuous basis. By 2010 she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel and was placed 14th on models.com’s list of the Sexiest Top Models.
In the summer of 2012, was the image of the Australian swimwear company Seafolly and was part of The Virgins Prinsloo’s Rich Girls music video. Next to other Victoria’s Secret models like with Jacqueline jablonski and with Jasmine Tookes, they appeared on an episode of the CBS series Hawaii Five-0.
Today, Behati Prinsloo has an affair with Adam Levine, lead singer of the band Maroon 5, in July 2013 they got engaged.
