Apple September 2019 Event

Click here to see more …Hopefully ‘ Have I Been Pwned ‘ will have a bright future ahead, as both the dream and plans are already there. Have I Been Pwned’s founder Troy Hunt posted a blog on his website announcing he’s looking to take the next step along with his network. As he reveals the famous breach notification and lookup service he developed five years ago, a single person staying free can no longer maintain and continue to serve his function without significant discounts. Mr. Hunt clarified that the more severe the data breaches that were posted to the website the more traffic became and, with the latest trend in the humongous data dumps released in the last few months, the task of managing and sustaining Have I Been Pwned and running became impossible. It’s time for @haveibeenpwned — Troy Hunt (@troyhunt) June 11, 2019 Back in September 2018 when we interviewed Troy Hunt he expressed his concern about the project growing unbearably large although he was worried at the beginning that the service would not even be viable. In fact he admitted he hadn’t foreseen much of what happened and so we have a forum here today that can’t stay free or be funded by a single person as if it’s a hobbyist project. It is no longer and in the past couple of months this has become apparent. The service will remain open to anyone who wants to check if his / her account has been breached. No charges no fines no secret expenses. Troy will remain part of the project and will continue to infuse the rest of the board with his attitude. The service is being advertised to everyone in the world while only the tech-savvy know about it right now. The service will be extended with a lot of features due to a lack of money that can not be implemented right now. The company will extend its reach to be an advisory and consultancy network. The website will be adding more data and more transparency, as this has become impossible right now. No more details were given at this point on who could be the buyer of Have I Been Pwned but the takeaway is that the service’s future will certainly be a bright one for the good of us all.
