Undercut

Trendy Stacked Bob How would you characterize this look? This cut is a slightly stacked undercut textured bob. In reality, her hair is shaved all the way around her head on the underside of this particular client. When it’s tucked behind her head, I love to see the undercut. I think the overall look is just adding a little extra detail. Also for customers who have a tricky neckline but still want a bob that is the undercut’s other benefit. You can still reach a very sharp baseline if you can remove any cowlicks or swirls on the neckline. I can’t claim that color. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Prepare for most days to style your hair. To achieve the look you want, find good quality salon material. If the client is not sure what she needs to ask her stylist and hopefully they will be able to turn them in the right direction. I used Kevin Murphy and Davines products for this style. For anyone with a fair amount of hair and time to style it, I would recommend this cut and style. I think we see the bob haircuts on most face shapes now look great and can be styled in many ways. I would recommend that you find a stylist seasoned to cut short hair that can give you a good length and texture to complement your own face shape.
Medium length Stacked Bob
Long Stacked Bob with Bangs

In contrast to the usually graduated bobs, this long stacked bob with bangs gives your hair length and shape. Caramel tones and bangs add to the layers ‘ attitude. Short Curly Stacked Bob

This short curly stacked bob shows how precise cutting and the use of highlights and lowlights can magnificently define curly hair and give it life! A shadow root can add dimensions as well.
Great Thin Hair Stacked Bob
This stacked thin hair bob has gradually increasing layers. It creates the illusion of a voluminous and perfectly formed back that makes the hair look more thick than it is. To women with thin hair, stacked bobs are trendy choices as they create a fuller look.

Short Stacked Bob with Bangs
QA with Kimberly Murray Stylist in Ogden Ut Stylist How would you describe this look? This short bob stacked with bangs is fun and fun! I gave her bob thin, textured layers around her face with some fringe. I love that depending on what the customer wants that day, it can be worn more smooth and sleek or full and messy. Any advice that someone thinks about it?It’s sassy and friendly stacked bob with side bangs, but elegant. This style, I like, looks incredibly twisted and messy or smooth. It’s easy to style and it’s a good mix between long and short if you’re looking for something. For this client, the color works well because it’s great for gray mixing. Any advice that someone thinks about it? If you want something you can style multiple ways (straight wavy teased, etc.) it’s the perfect look and you can easily get volume and texture. The best product to use with this look is textured hairspray to give it all-encompassing shine. Have fun and play with it because you can get so many different looks!
Inverted Bob

QA with Natasha Raquel Stylist design maker @ Shine Salon Dry Bar in West Dundee Il How would you describe this look? This bob is inverted and stacked. It’s the ideal step toward a color for the first time without it looking completely fake. It is soft and beautifully enhances the soft layering in the cut. Any advice that someone thinks about it? I love using a Denman brush or a small boar paddle brush to begin my looks with a good flat wrap to ensure smoothness and establish a natural head shape size. I use a medium or small round brush for the front front area once it’s completely dry to give it extra bounce and put some bend in the hair to create interest. You might also be able to opt for a curling iron and build the same front look. Then I finish with a light hairspray that can be moved. This look is great for moving fine hair. Holding a certain length in front produces a stunning, elongated look that is very slimming.
Blonde Stacked Bob Over 50
QA with Jill Toma Hairstylist style maker @ Salon Westlake in Westlake Village Ca How would you describe this look? I’d say that this cut is a bit of a stacked bob with a slight undercut to add volume to it. This gal has delicate wispy hair in front of it, with a little more in the back. I wanted to create a natural ebb and flow with many interior layers in the back that would allow the top of the cut to sit nicely without a lot of product weighing it down. With this cut, less product is better for a fine hair. Some blowdry styling cream (creaming over a moose as her hair is on the dry side and the alcohol in the moose dries it out more and the cream on her frizz is more smooth) lifts a little dry powder root at the crown and tops it off with your favorite spray. The front is softened with fringe and layers, but it kept the edges sharp to fit the personality of its button-down. I feel that this cut can be worn by anyone / any age as long as it is tailored to their personality. Any advice that someone thinks about it?
Stacked Bob with Layers and Bangs

QA with Jacquelyn Marie Cosmetologist / Makeup Artist Jacquelyn Natural Salon Shop in West Dundee Il How would you describe this look? The color is a custom scanning highlight with a touch-up filter of gray exposure. The cut is a layered bob lined with a razor slice. It has a diagonal forward cut that is graduated. All color and cut by me. Any suggestion to find it by somebody? When it comes to touch-ups, this color is less maintenance. You can go to a few appointments to cover gray with just paint touch-ups. These kinds of mixed highlights grow beautifully no demarcation lines. These days, balayage is the way to go. Natural highlights will always look like a beauty without effort. The cut needs some regular styling. The razored layers look natural and beautifully grow out.
Shelby Township Stacked Angled Bob

QA with fashion designer Stephanie Pachla Stylist @ Mila Salon and Spa Mi How would you describe this look? This is an angled bob stacked with a lot of texture. In particular, I took weight out of the back to keep it from being too heavy. I used a 1 to style? Curling iron barrel to create a soft allled look. The color is a Wella Professional line and from her summer golden blonde we decided to deepen it. I added to keep the aspect in deep reddish lowlights and then made her foundation a rich tone of auburn. It’s all about upkeep for someone who’s hunting for stacked bob hairstyles like this one. To keep the form, you need to be able to get it cleaned up. It can work well on most s because the back graduation adds fullness if you have finer hair but it is also a nice option for someone with thick hair as long as the weight is removed and texture is added. In order to achieve this look, I typically use a volume spray. My preference is Bumble and Bumble’s thickening hairspray. I also used a lotion for styling to add moisture and clarity and to protect against heat styling. My favorite is Perfect Me and is in the styling line of Wella’s Eimi.
Wavy Bob
QA with Laura Vance Cosmetologist Style Creator @ Hair Bar in Natchitoches How would you describe this look? I love this cut because without complicated styling it gives the look a lot of effort. The form is pleasing to the eye and looks great both straight and curly so that if you’re in a rush you can rock your natural wave pattern or run through it easily with a flat iron. You can curl it as shown here for this refined but slightly edgy look when you have more time to style! The color is a balayage that gives less care than conventional color to a lot of depth and dimension. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Stacked bob haircuts are best for rough or dense hair, but when using the right products, they can also work on fine thin hair. This client has thin hair so I used L’anza Healing Oil on damp hair to style it and then blow dried and curled with a flat iron with one inch left out. I finished it for a bit of grip with Kenra Dry Texture spray and teased the crown area for extra volume. Also, this cut would be perfect for round or wide face shapes as the long pieces in the front help balance the face width. The ease of styling and the color of the balayage are great for those with busy lifestyles or those who don’t want to spend a ton of time on their hair but want to look like they have!

The good news about stacked bob cuts like this is that nearly anyone who already has the length in the right places can achieve it. The irony of going shorter is that layers and face framing sometimes need to grow sufficiently to create a strong front angle like this one. If the shape is correctly executed, it will work nicely on nearly anyone as it is specificity tailored to the head shape of the client. Just go into it with an open mind if you’re thinking about trying out this look and let the art happen!
Layered Stacked Bob Back View
QA with Kris Schiller Stylist style creator @ Km Hair Studio in Gulf Shores Al How would you describe this look? This is a layered bob cut that is seamlessly stacked. When I thought about what I wanted to accomplish my goal was to make sure you didn’t see any hard lines. Throughout the haircut, a razor and shears were used. The suggestions that someone feels about it? This is a haircut that is versatile. I’d adjust the height and volume of the length depending on the hair and face texture. A good consultation helps to make the haircut successful and fulfill the expectations of the client. Shoulder Length Stacked Bob

QA with Sarah Brophy Cosmetologist Licensed at Lace’d Unisex Hair Salon in Langhorne Pa How would you describe this look? The suggestions that someone feels about it? Have a styling open mind. Using the right size tools will help create the haircut’s intended shape. Even with a 1? Curling iron will enhance this kind of stacked bob hairstyle.
Jessica Kingsbury Stylist Cherry Creek Hair Company Stacked Bob with Fringe
QA in Puyallup Wa How would you describe this look? This is a fun textured stacked fringe bob with lots of built-in texture and motion. With a dramatic angle it has a pretty high stack in the back. She wanted to get a little edgier for this particular customer with some custom design on the bottom. I created this color by putting partially a typical foil that leaves its natural color underneath. I lightened her to a super pale blonde and glossed a light pastel lilac on her. Versatility is the biggest part of this style. It can be worn super sleek and perfect or with some soft waves you can make it more undone. It’s a pretty easy style that always gets tons of compliments and the lilac is sure to turn a few heads.
Thick Hair Stacked Bob

QA with style creator Erica Branch Hairstylist/ Booth Renter @ Impressions Hair Studio in Saraland Al This thick hair stacked bob is one of my favorite hairstyles! Playing with it is super cute and fun. Styling made this haircut simple. It’s a simple blow-and-go or some textured beach waves can be given to it. It’s very polyvalent. For a subtle, lived-in feel, color is a natural balayage. Any advice that someone thinks about it? This haircut requires a little more attention than most of them. It can be a headache if it’s too long! To keep it shaped and look fabulous, regular haircuts are a must. It is very low maintenance with this color. Keeping it as natural as possible, but still having a few color pops. It makes it easy for someone on the go who has no time to go to the salon for 4-6 weeks to touch up. I was using a 1? Curling iron Amika surface spray to create a feel for the curls.
