Soon after her son Ivan’s birth, sometime in the autumn of 2007, she was diagnosed with brain cancer. The same December her husband Konstantin took her to Los Angeles’ hospital Cedars Sinai, but 11 months later on December 1, 2008 she died. Her body was taken from USA to Russia and she was buried at Troekurov cemetery on December 15, 2007.
