Art garfunkel is an acclaimed singer, musician, poet, and actor best known for being one half of the 1960s folk-rock duo Simon & Garfunkel. He is considered one of the most recognizable and iconic singers in history.

Arthur Ira Garfunkel born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, on November 5, 1941; his father was a street vendor and his mother was a homemaker. He began singing as a child and performed often at religious events. She met Paul Simon while playing Nat King Cole’s “Too Young” on an elementary school talent show.
