Selma blair was born in 1972 in Southfield, Michigan (United States).
This young woman with dark hair, intense eyes and 1.63 cm tall, has studied English and art in the Michigan University, and then she has moved to New York with the sole objective of starting her career as a photographer, also studying interpretation at the Stella Adler Conservatory.
Later, while she was still studying, she was discovered by a cinematographic agent, with whom she managed to make her debut in the cinema with the film entitled “In & Out” in 1997.
But finally success comes in 1999 when he intervenes in “Cruel intentions”, this film being an adaptation of the novel “Dangerous friendships” of Laclos.
The kiss with Sarah Michelle Gellar had a great impact, because thanks to this he won the award Mtv to the Best Cinematic Kiss, which earned him a very beneficial publicity for his career.
Interestingly and two years before, Selma had unsuccessfully chosen the lead role of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, series that would finally star Sarah Michelle Gellar.
After being the actor’s girlfriend Jason schwartzman, married in January 2004 with the rocker Ahmet zappa, son of Frank Zappa.
