Jonas Björkman was born on March 23, 1972 in Växjö, Sweden.
He is a professional tennis player, who although he had an acceptable job as a singles player, is more prominent as a doubles player, where he reached the number 4 position in the ranking. As a doubles player, he reached the finals of all the most important tennis tournaments (the 4 Grand Slam, the 9 Masters Series and the Tennis Masters Cup). He has teamed up with exceptional players like Todd Woodbridge, Max Mirnyi, Patrick Rafter and Jan Apell.
He has a total of 59 titles, of which 9 are as a singles player (6 ATP Tours and 3 Challenges) and the remaining 50 are as a doubles player (9 Grand Slam, 2 Tennis Masters Cup, 14 ATP Masters Series and 25 ATP Tours).
He won the Australian Open 3 times (1998, 1999 and 2001). As a curious fact, he won it with 3 different couples: Jacco Elttingh, Patrick Rafter and Todd Woodbrigge.
He also managed to get 3 times Wimbledon (2002, 2003 and 2004), playing all 3 times alongside Todd Woddbrige.
He also won the US Open in 2003, defeating brothers Mike and Bob Bryan 5-7 6-0 and 7-5 in the final.
The only tournament he needed to win the Grand Slam was Roland Garros. He managed to win the French tournament twice (2005 and 2006), and thus he was able to win the 4 Grand Slam.
