The protagonist of the story is Benjamin, a young man who has just graduated from university, who returns to his parents’ house for a vacation.
There he meets the Robinsons, a married couple who are very close to his parents. Both members of the couple will be interested in him, although for different reasons. While Mr. Robinson’s interest is that Benjamin date his daughter Elaine, Mrs. Robinson’s interest is to seduce the young man and make him her lover.
