Patricia Louise Holt-Edwards is an American singer, writer and actress, born on May 24, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Daughter of Henry Holte and Bertha Holte. After the separation of her parents, she was raised by her mother.

Endowed with a moving voice, she actively participated in the church choir. Two years later, at the age of twelve, he sang his first solo at Beulah Baptist Church.
