Biography:
From Moulin Rouge to Sta Wars, Ewan McGregor has made his acting ability, without a doubt, one of the most required in the cinematographic field.
Since he was a child, he was captivated by the giant screen when he saw his uncle, Dennis Lawson perform. Especially with the one where he was in the middle of a galactic war, full of robots and princesses. Who was to say that he would find himself involved in the same environment, twenty-three years later, at the hands of George Lucas.
At the age of sixteen, he left conventional studies to go on tour with the Perth Repertory Theater in Scotland. When he discovered that acting was happy, which was really what he wanted to dedicate himself to for the rest of his life, he embarked on his ultimate adventure. He traveled to London, where he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
He went from school to the small screen, participating in a long list of series that made his face known.
Robin Williams, gave him the opportunity to debut on the big screen, in one of his not so successful films, “Being Human” in 1993.
A year later he participated in a thriller, which kept viewers in suspense throughout the film, “Shallow Grave”.
After this filming, the directors began to shuffle his name as a possibility in large productions. But he stayed true to his mentor: Danny Boyle.
They made a heartbreaking film, based on Irvine Welsh’s book, “Trainspotting”, in it he starred as a drug addict immersed in the underworld of Scotland.
From here he would have earned his place on the scene, films such as Molin Rouge and Star Wars, where he participated in the three films corresponding to the continuation of the Lucas saga, finally reaching stardom.
