Roberto Álamo – Biography of Roberto Álamo

Actor Roberto Álamo was born in 1970 in Madrid.

His training for acting was carried out at the prestigious Cristina Rota School, being considered one of the best actors in our country of his generation.

A member of the Animalario theater company, he has worked a lot on the stage, representing a large number of plays and productions. Among the first works he starred in, we can mention “La skeja”, “The good thing about flowers is that they wither soon” or “Waiting for Lefty”, in the mid-90s.

From this moment on, Roberto has no longer left the stage, despite having also worked in other media. It is impossible to list here all the works he has worked on. As an example, we will cite some such as “Ball of tallow”, “The barrack”, “The end of dreams”, “Hamelin”, “Marat Sade”, “Urtain”, “A tram called desire” or “Of mice and men ”.

He started working in the cinema in 1996, in which he participated in the short “Minas”. And, in 1998 he took part in his first feature film, “Cásting”, which was followed, a year later, by Miguel Bardem’s film “The ugliest woman in the world”.

Roberto has worked under the orders of some of the best directors of our cinema, such as Icíar Bollaín in “Te give you my eyes”, David Serrano de la Peña in Days of football, “Days of cinema” and “One more hour in the Canary Islands, or Pedro Almodóvar in “The skin that I live in.”

He has also participated in some short films such as “Soberano, el Rey Canalla”, “Rutina”, “No luz” or “The last blow”.

As for television, he began working in that medium in 1996, participating in a chapter of the series “This is my neighborhood.” He continued to participate in other productions, such as “La casa de los mesos”, “Génesis, en la mente del asesino”, “Los Serrano” or “La familia Mata”.

In 2007 she took part in some chapters of the successful series “Los Hombres de Paco”, until 2008, the year in which she worked on some chapters of “Without tits there is no paradise”, as well as in “Aída” and “Lex”.

In 2009 he played a small role in the series “Hermanos y detectives”, and this same year, his popularity increased greatly by playing Juan de Calatrava in the series “Águila Roja”.

He also worked in the production “Urtain”, where he played the main character, a role that brought him many awards, such as the Best New Actor Award granted by the Union of Actors. Also the Ercilla Prize, the Max Prize and the Vila de Madrid Prize, all of them for the best male performance.
