Darren Everett Criss was born on February 5, 1987 in San Francisco, California. He’s half Irish, half Filipino.
With only 5 years of age I was sure that he liked music and began to study violinLater, he continued to learn other instruments such as piano, guitar, harmonica, mandolin, cello and drums.
He has always excelled in the arts and when he was in San Ignacio High School he obtained the National Latin Exam; in 2002 he won the silver medal and a year later the award Theater Arts Leadership Award.
Later, he graduated from the youth program at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Later, studied Comedy of Art at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy.

Criss is part of the group called TeamStarkid, formed by students from the University of Michigan and was able to make his Broadway debut replacing Daniel Radcliffe in the character of J. Pierrepont FInch in the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying for three weeks.
In 2013 he was next to Lucy Hale as driver of the Teen Choice Awards 2013 and on television he has participated in series such as Eastwick and Cold Case. On Glee he first appeared on November 9, 2010, in the sixth episode of the second season, playing Blaine Anderson, a gay student at Dalton Academy and lead vocalist for the Dalton Academy Warbles, a rival group of the color Glee.
