The actress Maria Rosa Gallo He was born on December 20, 1925 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
At the end of his school studies, he decided to enter the Conservatory of Music and Declamation learning from the teacher Antonio Cunil Cabanellas. In 1942 he graduated with honors and a Gold Medal.
A year later he made his first stage appearance with the play Devil’s carnival, María was only a teenager but she proved to be very talented and due to this presentation she won the critics award as the best young actress.
Determined to continue on the stage, I continue to act and stand out as a layman in “Fascinación”, once again won the critics and magazine awards from the Talia period. María Rosa participated in “All God’s children have wings”, “The merchant of Venice”, “I want to marry in White”, “The smile of the Mona Lisa” and in “Handbook”.
With 25 years of age, María Rosa travels to Italy in 1950 to continue increasing their studies. It was the Silvio D’Amico Dramatic Art Academy, the new institution chosen and where she shared and lived highly important experiences for her life as a woman and as an actress.
When I graduated it was very easy to travel and perform throughout Italy obtaining the applause of this new public, becoming a recognized theater actress within Italian society.
After a few years he decides to return to his homeland and form your own company next to many colleagues and friends of always. Already from his own company he presents the work “The dog in the manger”, then “Remembering with anger” is produced. Each work was a success after another and María does not rest and is encouraged to present “Orfeo descends”, “Rashomon”, “Amoretta” and receiving several awards from the National Endowment for the Arts highlights “the Troyanas”.
He also presents “Fedra”, “El tenement de la paloma”; “Confessions of a servant”, “The cherry garden” and many other works that were very well accepted by the public.
At the same time that she continued to produce and act in her own works for the company, María also encouraged herself to be a member of the official cast of the Cervantes National Theater and the General San Martin Theater. At the Teatro del Pueblo, he premiered one of his best and most outstanding plays called “Maternal Profession.”
Gallo was also a television actress and was seen performing in Taming of the Shrew, El Vals, Young Stories, Two in the City and receives the Martin Fierro award for her excellent performance in “Romeo and Juliet”.
There were also the soap operas “My name is courage”, “Manuela” and “Perla Negra”, sharing credits with Andrea del Boca.
A complete actress, Gallo has made solo shows like La Gallo y yo, Amor y locura. For the big screen, María Rosa was in We were six, Ten seconds, Death is lying, The blue rose and many others.
Gallo has received several awards such as María Guerrero, Moliere, Estrella de Mar, the ACE award for the best dramatic actress and the ACE gold award.
Due to his advanced age and a painful illness he suffered, he passed away on December 7, 2004 in his hometown.
