Potash Earnings: WeakerBecca Bleznak More Articles A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on October 7, 2018 at 4:33pm PDT Swift has not spoken openly about politics for much of her career. Actually it wasn’t until last year’s fall that she started speaking up in a public room. In the fall of 2018, Swift went to her social media channels to urge her fans to vote and discuss her favorite candidates in her Tennessee home state. The second song from Lover’s latest album had a message to it: LGBTQ+ group support. As Swift published “You Need to Calm Down” she made it clear that she is a Democrat, at least as far as that one issue goes. Swift did not know that she was a symbol for the white supremacists 7/7.503 7/7.503 For a while white supremacists used the image of Swift to reflect the cause there. Swift claims she “didn’t hear of it until after it happened,” because at the time she was staying away from social media and the press. But she’s pleased that it’s cleared up now (hopefully) “I didn’t even see that, but it’s just as gross as if that happened. There’s nothing worse than white supremacy, literally. It’s gross. There should be no space for it “she recently told Rolling Stone. What about ‘ Miss Americana the Prince of the Heartbreak? ‘ Swift is fond of covering messages in her albums. One such track is “Miss Americana the Heartbreak Prince.” She claims she penned it “a few months after mid-term elections” adding “I wanted to take the concept of politics and choose a metaphorical place for it to live.” “It’s about the memories of what I thought America was before our political landscape took the turn and the naivete we used to have about it. And it’s also the idea of people living in America who just want to live their lives making a living have a family love they love and watching those people lose their rights or seeing those people feel like they’re not at home in their homes, “she said. When this year’s Vogue interviewed Swift she explained why she stayed out of the chase. “Unfortunately you had a political opponent in the 2016 election who gunned up the idea of the celebrity endorsement she said of Trump. I always knew I wasn’t improving. In reality, there were a lot of similarities between what people said about Swift and that year’s Hillary Clinton, her own choice for President. Would I be a reward or would I be a liability? Check together on a pair of feather snakes. Look at the two people there lying. He said the two nasty women. Swift’s Democratic Feedback Now Share this message on Instagram HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!!! Although we have so much to celebrate, we also have a great distance to go before everyone is treated equally in this country. The House has passed the Equality Act in excellent recent news that would shield LGBTQ people from discrimination in their workplace schools and other public housing. The next move is for the bill to go before the Senate. By writing a letter to one of my senators, I decided to kick off Pride Month to demonstrate how strongly I felt that the Equality Act should be passed. I encourage your senators to write too. Through searching the hashtag # lettertomysenator, I’m looking for your letters. While there is no clarity as to when the Equality Act is going to go to the Senate for a vote, we know this: politicians need votes to remain in office. Voting is from men. Pressure from massive numbers of people is a significant way of moving policymakers towards positive change. That’s why I ve created a change.org petition to persuade the Senate to adopt the Equality Act. The lack of protection for our country’s own citizens means that LGBTQ people have to live in fear that an homophobic or transphobic employer or landlord could turn their lives upside down. The fact that some people are legitimately completely at the mercy of others ‘ hatred and bigotry is shameful and immoral. Let us demonstrate our pride in demanding that our laws really treat all our citizens equally at national level. Swift insists Democrats “need to be more of a squad” saying “If we’re going to do anything to change what’s going on, we’re going to have to work together. “We need to avoid dissecting why somebody is on our side or whether they are depending on our side in the right way or phrasing it correctly,” she added, “We need not have the right kind of Democrat and the wrong kind of Democrat. We just have to be like ‘ You re a Democrat? Poor. Sick. Get in the cart. We’re going back to the store. ‘ “
