Most critics blame the lack of a coherent tone in the film about Whedon’s role in the movie. Others think Whedon inserting his signature witticisms into the script ruined a real epic movie. While Whedon received a lot of praise for his involvement, it is currently unknown how much Whedon’s work is in the theatrical version of the film, and how much Snyder is. This was an all-around disappointment despite the initial buzz surrounding the film Justice League. Critics and critics alike had the feeling that the film was cluttered and trite. Through social media, rumors circulated that Warner Bros. had edited a film against Snyder’s wishes, and that Snyder’s version of the film remained in the studio vault. The Director himself seems to have acknowledged the reports.

Dedicated DC Comics fans generated petitions that protested and flew a plane over San Diego Comic-Con with a banner calling for Snyder’s cut to be released. According to The Hollywood ReporterBen Affleck who played Batman in the League of Justice as well as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad have tweeted his support as did Ray Fisher who played Cyborg in the League of Justice. Many fear that these tweets are part of a marketing campaign to get the Snyder cut published. Some believe the version of Snyder’s film might be released to the forthcoming HBO Max streaming service from Warner Bros. Nonetheless, the Hollywood Reporter reports Warner Bros. has no such plan. The world will just have to wait and see if the film’s fans and cast succeed in changing Warner’s mind.
