Great Bob

Great cut for thin hair

QA with Emmalie Saljoughi Future Professional fashion designer in Austin Tx How would you characterize this look? The suggestions that someone thinks about it? This is great for anyone without the hassle who wants to engage in short hair. You can wear it done or you can leave it dirty. Pomade spray and shine will be your best friends.

Long Layers Short Shag

QA with Olivia Scibelli Hairstylist style maker @ Crescent Salon in Nashville Tn How would you describe this look? This short shag with long layers was designed to create a pixie cut for a customer. She’s been hunting for a shag that’s my dream haircut. Her hair is fine, but the texture is incredible, so many choppy layers fit well! I will definitely call it a shag of pixies. The suggestions that someone thinks about it? You must devote yourself to styling it. People get nervous about the styling when you ask them, but as hairdressers most of us are the undone styling champions. Normally I advise my customers to choose only one decent texture material in this case Kevin Murphy Hair Resort blow dried in with your fingertips separating the layers and I’ll always love a smooth working hairspray as a finisher. This cut works best for clean shampoo next day skin! Short Choppy Layers

QA with Kelle Schlax Hair Designer in San Diego Ca Style Creator How would you describe this look? The suggestions that someone thinks about it? I would like to encourage my clients to really embrace their natural texture in this look. With a sea salt mist, we produced this look and diffused it until dry. Instead I allow the bangs to lie straighter with a flat iron and finished with a spray of texture. With fine hair, this cut is perfect. The layering on the crown creates the illusion of more hair while improving my beautiful client’s bone structure!

Bob Classic with Bangs

QA with Sol Wade Senior Stylist Stylist @ Acappella Hair Design in Temecula Ca This short cut is classic and timeless. Black color can be an undertaking. You have to know that it’s a long time to stay in it! This cut is a bob of one size. Based on the shape of your head, you will assess the consistency of the hair and the customer’s practical desire. She’s got a round head in this situation. I didn’t want to change it, so I made sure her chin was transferred. This exotic look was added by the bangs. The coolest thing about it is that it is classic and timeless, clean and precise. The suggestions that someone feels about it? My advice is number one for anyone considering this theme, realizing that it takes time to fashion this look. It’s going to lay with everyone differently. The product is going to be your best friend. You have to keep getting it reshaped every 5-6 weeks to keep this look perfectly formed. Wear it with faith, above all! Trendy Angled Bob on Short Hair

QA with Caroline DeLauder Stylist Co-owner at the Towson Md Form Salon How would you describe this look? The suggestions that someone feels about it? For most people, this look is great. In color and style, it’s low maintenance. Without much effort, it can easily be worn curly or flat. Use a curl cream to improve the wave and keep the frizz away if your hair is naturally wavy. I love the curl cream of Davines Love. You can blow it with a circular brush to build volume or a paddle brush to make it sleeker if you have straight hair. Try to reduce frizz with a smoothing cream. I like the cream smoothing Davines Honey. Ultimately, a 1 1/4 inch barrel curling iron can be used to apply straight hair to a beach wave. This is a great cut because it is versatile and easy every morning for those who may not have much time to style hair there.

Stylish Asymmetrical Bob

QA with Chrisy Panagopoulos Hairstylist at Fiorio Cumberland in Toronto How would you describe this look? I would describe this look as elegant and dramatic. It emphasizes a woman’s cheekbones chin and neck, all of which are very sexy features. It is a classic cut with a playful edge that can be worn in style or allow your natural texture to create its own form. I love how elegance and complexity are matched. The mindset that goes with the haircut is all about.
Edgy Wavy Bob

QA with Antonia Ventimiglia Hairstylist style maker @ Bianchi’s Royal Oak Salon Mi How would you describe this look? This look is an edgy bob with a lot of texture and movement layered and angled. The color is a bright blonde platinum with large bits of violet. My favorite part of this look is that at the same time it’s edgy and cool, but also so feminine. The suggestions that someone feels about it? With a haircut every other day, this customer should get a root touch every four weeks so this is a fairly high maintenance look. That look would flatter someone with a round face because it has a certain height and pulls up the brow. The stack and angle in the back also give the illusion from the profile of a tighter jawline. How would you characterize this look?

Tapered Pixie Cut with Long Bangs

This is a pixie style type. To give it a strong head shape, it is tapered tightly in the back. For flexibility and softness, we left some duration on top. The suggestions that someone feels about it? To give it a loose dry feel, we used L’Oréal Tecni Art – Beach Waves. We then added separation and shine to the ends of Tecni Arts Lumi Controle. For anyone who wants to put little effort into everyday styling but is able to get trims regularly, this look will fit well.

For anyone who wants to put little effort into everyday styling but is able to get trims regularly, this look will fit well.My client has straight hair highly (I mean extreme) thick rough stick and she has a very shallow forehead. We wanted to create for her a short look that would fit with these limitations. Undercutting the bottom took out a lot of unwanted hair and allowed me to build a shape where on the sides I didn’t fight too much bulk. It also helped me to shorten her ear without sticking her hair straight out! Undercuts do not always have to reveal that they are sometimes used by weight removal to build form. We decided to make distance on her forehead to keep her hair and fringe a little thick and forward. We made sure to add a lot of texture in order to keep going. The suggestions that someone feels about it? To someone who wants something bold, but not too edgy, I suggest this theme. Because all the hair is on your head, it needs further grooming. I styled my client by blowing her first with Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray for texture and grit and finished with a wax pomade to lift those bangs!

Textured Pixie with Side-Swept Bangs

QA with Clarissa Rivera fashion maker and Ii Stylist @ Balance Salon Spa in Tampa Fl This look is a flexible textured pixie. The disconnection of the mastoid system is my favorite thing about the feel. I created a lot of inner movement to be able to wear the hair in many ways. Even if it’s a short haircut, it still has a feminine look that I love as well! The suggestions that someone feels about it? How dedicated they are is the first thing I ask anyone to go shorter. Taking into account the lifestyle of the consumer is important because it needs maintenance every four weeks to look like this. On the plus side, it can style itself virtually and with minimal material, you will be able to achieve a different look for each occasion. Every face is different, of course, so it is important to highlight the best features of the client and to curate a haircut that will do just that. As you can see in the picture of my client, she has a beautiful smile that I wanted to focus on. With a 3 guard we placed it tightly on the sides and made a U-shaped disconnect at the mastoid stage, leaving the length to the front and a lot of texture longer! The level of commitment of a customer will certainly determine the final look’s length and form. Tell my reluctant clients that we can take some off on the next visit if they’re afraid to take the plunge right away so they feel like they’re on a journey to discover the true selves of their hair! Classic Bob for Round Heads

QA with Brenna Graves Stylist style designer @ Bristles Hair Design in Charlottesville Va How would you characterize this look? I love the way strategic texture gives the stacking illusion despite the minimal layering. I believe the soft textured look is what makes this cut enjoyable and modern, rather than sharp angles. The suggestions that someone feels about it? For someone who wants this look, I would strongly consider face shape. Someone with a long face, for example, might want some fringe or framing around the cheekbone and down to soften the eyes. Someone with a round face may want to lengthen the face below the nose. The hair’s structure would be something else to remember. For someone with fine straight hair who wants this look, a razor cut would be a great option. My client pictured has a medium coarseness with some wave, so I just like using my shears and point cut as well as cutting the inner sections of the slide to take weight out manually. I consider this approach is the best way to avoid uneven or rough hair ends which appear fluffy. The versatility is one thing I love about this look. For a more polished look, you can wear it messy with undone waves or blow it clean with a round comb. I like using Design Me’s Puff Me for instant lift at the root and Beach Club Texture spray from Igk to finish off the look. The advice that someone thinks about it? On straight to wavy hair, this style is great. Give the hair a good blowout like Redken’s Duo Volumizer and a thermal round brush with a volumizing cream. You can sit it up with a flat iron or a 1-inch curling iron in large vertical sections by generating slight waves on the heavy side. I love finishing with a Matrix Texture Builder texture spray. Use Redken’s Wax Blast 10 if you want a little more.

Unicorn Purple Lob

QA with Barbara Anne Davis Cosmetology Student @ Gtcc in Jamestown Nc. I’d characterize it as a lob of unicorn. I created this look for professional / chic meetings with edgy in mind. The elegant angled cut makes you feel sophisticated while the color gives the perfect personality light. I was taught early in the cosmetology school that you should ask your customer if they want their hair to whisper or scream. Definitely this style lifts its voice to be just below a scream! I think it’s really important for a person to be able to express himself through his personal style, and I feel that the hair should be the part that connects it all together and makes it fall into place. The suggestions that someone feels about it? This look is very flexible and can be changed to make it work for virtually everyone. Inverted styles are classic and this style version can be suitable for a variety of face shapes. Usually this cut is one that I recommend to someone with a round face who wants to shorten and lighten their hair. It tells women with round heads that they can’t have short hair and it’s not true that you just need to deal with your angles. Inverted vertical forward lines help to elongate the head of a human, resulting in a slimmer look. The hair texture of an individual plays an enormous role in deciding how to make this cut. Is it rough or wiry medium fine? Is it wavy or curly straight? All these things will change how you make the same cut as you lay it where weight needs to be removed from the hair and most importantly the style to keep this cut look great after you leave the living room. You’ll blow the hair dry for a straight look and use a round brush to guide the hair where you want it to go and bump it under it as well. If required, go through with a flat iron. You can also use your flat iron for the beach waves. I highly recommend that you get conditioning treatments and a good thermal safety drug if you have lightened your hair to get this beautiful unicorn magic color. If they use any styling tool with water, even a blow dryer, everyone should use a thermal protection device. Healthy hair is hair that is happy! Asymmetrical Bob with Side Bangs

QA with Lindsey Willis Redken Certified Colorist / Master Cutter @ After Fx Spa and Salon in Broken Arrow Ok How would you describe this look? The versatility and funkiness you can achieve with it is my favorite thing about this cut. The suggestions that someone feels about it? To anyone who wants this style, my advice is to try it! Get some Redken Wax Blast or Mess Rub it in your hands and then apply it to detach and make it funky in your body.

Inverted Bob TexturedI love AmikaTexture Spray as a finishing product, but it’s also going to work with a versatile hold hairspray. This cut and style will work on anything that just depends on how much work the customer wants to do. To preserve the form, the look certainly needs to be kept up with trimmings every six to eight weeks!

Textured Layered Bob with Wispy Bangs

QA with Tonya Penrose Hairstylist Style Creator @ The Powder Room in Pensacola Fl How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite? This look is fun and sassy, and with it I love the bangs! A classic haircut is given a more modern look. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint Shampoo and Paul Mitchell Extra Body Daily Boost Conditioner and Paul Mitchell Extra Body Finishing Spray have been used. A wispy textured bob softens a face’s fullness and the bangs draw you to the beautiful eyes. The hair of this client is dense but fine, but on most hair textures this style can be achieved. The cut is low maintenance and styling doesn’t take much time. It can be worn straight or throw in some texture to give the most popular beachy wave look right now! To keep it fresh, this look needs to be redesigned every six to eight weeks.

Messy Beach Waves Lob

QA with> Ave Salon Fashion Bridal in Ogden Ut How are you going to describe this look and what’s your favorite? This is a slightly stacked lob with a bit of a front angle. Except for a messy inner layer, it has no walls. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? Complete with the Bedroom. Hair. It is an all-in – one dry shampoo spray wax and hairspray. This gives the hold to sticky without adding weight or being. I curled with 1-inch iron warm tools as well. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? For those with thick or thin hair with a fine texture, this look is great. It works fantastically straight or twisted. There are no layers on top, so it’s still easy to pull up, but it has internal layers so you can get texture and movement. On any face shape you just change where the front pieces touch, it works well. For those who wash just a few times a week and for those who wash every day, this look is great!

Adhwet (a medium keep light shine product similar to a pomade) applies to damp hair to fashion this look. Use a comb or the hands to dry the hair forward and sideways. Use a small amount of Adhdry to finish the look and bring out the shine. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? To someone with a fast-paced life or someone who doesn’t want to style their hair so much, I recommend this style. With almost all s, this look works well.

Quick Neck-Length Bob for Straight Hair

QA with Caitlin Mergard Designer Style Creator @ Pump Salon in Cincinnati Oh How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite? This is a blunt slice with a low angle and no minimally textured layering. I love the simple outline and the clean lines. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? Finer s and those with chemical damage would love to make their hair look fuller with the blunt ends. This will definitely be your first haircut ever if you have both of them!

Thick hair shaggy bobs

The better the texture suits a rounded face. Thicker hair will build a fuller appearance, but styling it into a messy bob makes it an asset’s thickness.

Sleek Bob

Cropped Hair

> Currie Hair Skin Nails This flirtious hairstyle is short on the sides but definitely not short on the clipper. The edge is extra long and the sides are separated. It’s upward and slightly to the side styled. The top drapes on the arm, but visually blends in. For a really stylish and chic finish, the hair has some bend for texture and some separation.Use a curling iron to add a few bends to hair sections Apply a texture and volume material Set the hairspray style with a flexible grip. Suggest Products: HumidtyRx Anti-Frizz Weatherproof Spray weatherproof your hair and styling job. On your finished look, just mist it evenly and you’re done!

Flattering A-Line Bob

QA with Amanda Mendoza Stylist style maker @ Rock Paper Scissors Salon in Lake Mary Fl How would you describe this look? I made a scanning and shadow root accompanied by a beautiful combination of hot pink and magenta for the color in Joico intensities. Her style is an A-line bob with an undercut and a lot of movement and texture. The fast dramatic angle the cut has to be my favorite part of the overall look. The vibrant color makes it just pop up. Any advice that someone thinks about it? I’d recommend to anyone who wants a short, fun hairstyle look. Hold it below the chin if you don’t want to accentuate or highlight a round nose. This look can be pulled off by anyone as long as you wear it and don’t let it wear you. Give it a nice flat iron and a nice blowout to get those angles just like you want them. D a little spray of glow and you’re out of the house! Modern graduated Bob

Perfect for a short face, this bob, which is short on the back and longer on the front, has a natural slimming effect and gives the hairstyle dimension. Styling it straight and simple offers that incredible shine that can easily be recreated at home by anyone.

This short textured cut has an impressive dimension with the choppy ends and rough layers stacked at the back. Choosing a fashionable balayage makes preserving and through easier.

Angled Long Bob

Medium Length Angled Bob Haircut

QA with Gorana Terzic Owner design designer @ Kalon Studio in Kitchener What would you describe this look like? I’ve brought this client to this color from a dark brown foundation with violet ends. I used smooth bleach and made a full head of highlights for 30 minutes. We just lifted her up to a warm color level 7. This almost seems to be the natural hair of the client with some highlights. For so many face shapes, I think it’s flexible. It can be optimized for round to square face shapes with the asymmetry. I also love the sharp angle on the front with the soft flowing ends. Also, a fringe is an option for customers who want it. My client has a light sweeping fringe in this situation. Any advice that someone thinks about it? Cutting is one of my favorite trendy modern bobs. It’s shorter on the other hand. There was a 2-inch undercut on the back of this trim (nape). Not perfect for someone who most of the time has their head facing down (like a massage therapist), but it’s an ideal shape for those who spend at least 10 minutes styling their hair with a blow dryer or flat iron to achieve this look. With this bob shape, I prefer an undercut because it helps the weight line to be clear and without the hair coming out from below and it grows smoother. This is definitely for more of a trendy woman who has no fear of breaking in the nape. Creating a shorter look can be waved out (exposes the undercut nape) but it can still be angled. With a natural wave pattern and twists, this can also be worn. It would work as long as you’re all right to expose the undercut since when curled, the hair would shorten.

Fun Flirty Bob

What’s your favorite thing about this look? Definitely this is a fun and flirting bob! It’s a very flexible style ideal for a day-to-day look or a night out! I love the beach waves ‘ texture. They fall softly and easily. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? A mousse like Big Sexy Hair Root Pump and a smoothing serum like Paul Mitchell Super Skinny are added before blowing drying to recreate this look. This will generate weight, add heat protection, and remove any frizz internally in your style. When completely dry, we sprayed and combed Bed Head Masterpiece Hairspray. Then start from the bottom and work with a 1 1/4-inch curling iron to the top of the head portion of the hair horizontally and curl one-inch vertical sections. Make sure to leave the tail out when you curl. This is the beach wave’s message! When we curl all over the face, spray a light mist of hairspray and allow for 30 seconds of drying and cooling. Put your fingers on the hair and you’re all set! On any face shape and with any hair texture, this style of bob looks very attractive. It suits any lifestyle, as straight or wavy styling is simple. Make sure that you find a good hairdresser with thick hair that is confident with texture. This form of cut will need to be thin and textured so that it can be laid and styled correctly.

Bob Angled Emerald

An Edgy Take on a Classic Bob

QA with Calgary Canada’s Pure Form Salon This is an edgy interpretation of a classic look. With a classic bob, you can never go wrong, but let’s add some texture to create interest and refine the shape. My favorite thing about this slice is that it can be achieved by anyone. With just a little tweaking, it suits everyone! What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I also recommend a spray or foam root lifting as well as a cream to smooth the ends. The hair of all is different, of course, so it ultimately depends on the client’s. On many different hair styles, this look can be produced in many ways. You will probably save the hair from any warm tools used as well as a soft paddle brush for the initial dry blow and a round brush or flat iron if appropriate. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? It is an easy slice for 99 percent of people to take care of. Someone with coarse frizzy hair could have to spend a little more time with that being said. It’s a short cut so it shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes to polish the look. It’s one of my favorite things to do!

Fun Short Textured Bob

During the blow dry, I would also use a medium-sized round brush to add max volume and a flat iron to straight the ends. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? To any client looking for a youthful look, I suggest this classic cut color and style. For someone who is also looking for a modern high fashion style, it’s great. For each user, you might customize this look using various layering degrees depending on and if needed, switching the color to a more natural shade. Blonde Highlights

Timeless Bob

Shelby Nc Halcyon Salon This cut is classic and timeless. We love the fact that most face shapes and s can be flattering. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? We recommend the products of Organic Pure Care. All their products are amazing, but we recommend the Volumizing Spray Volumizing Foam and Hydrating Shiny Spray to achieve this particular look for customers. The long lengths in the front may help to balance some roundness in the head, but this is a very flexible style that can be worn by someone with natural curly wavy or straight hair. Long Angled Bob with Layers

QA with> Hair By Megan Anton Llc in Surprise Az How do you describe this look and what’s your favorite? What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I recommend that Moroccanoil Beach Wave Mousse be applied to wet hair and blown into the hair for this style. The mousse adds volume and texture throughout the hair that is long lasting. I made the waves with the Babyliss 1 1/4-inch curling iron. I left the last inch of the hair out of the curling iron when curling to create an undone look of the beach. I finished the style with Dry Texture Spray from Morocco. This spray adds to the curls produced in the hair a long lasting hold and texture. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? This haircut is so awesome because it fits in any manner or face. I would recommend leaving the layers longer for customers with coarse curly hair. The layers can be cut short to help create more volume and movement through the hair for clients with fine / limp hair.

No-Fuss Wavy Bob Cut

QA with> Blue Waters Salon and Spa in Los Angeles Ca This is a versatile a-line bob cut. The term lived-in has been used to describe a no-fuss ready to go hairstyle these days, and this cut comes closest. My favorite thing about it is that an executive can wear it classically straight and effortlessly, or twisted it for a more casual look for younger people. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I used Neuma Afghan brightness and softness treatment Unite Elevate body and control mousse and finished with a textured spray style! For the lived-in feel, I still recommend a textured spray or paste. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? With medium to fine hair, this cut works best. Due to its versatility and depending on how it is styled and worn, it can be worn by faces of all shapes. Glossy Blunt Bob

QA with Hoboken Nj’s Mad One Jacks Salon How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? My favorite thing about this cut is the blunt look, because after internal layers are created and weight removed, it still has movement. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I recommend using damp hair with Marula Styling Cream. Before blowing, it can also work as a heat-protective. I recommend Hot Off The Press for more heat protection after the dry blow and before flat ironing. Use Awapuhi Styling Treatment to finish because with a shiny polished finish it leaves the hair. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I find that this cut works best for my medium to thick hair clients because it eliminates unnecessary heaviness and gives ample movement. With heart-round and pear-shaped eyes, as far as the length is concerned, it is most attractive.
