QA with Cassandra Lane Stylist Stylist / Salon Director @ Blush Salon Az in Goodyear Az How would you describe this look? The sleekness and the subtle balayage are the best thing about this look. The advice that someone thinks about it?

Curly A-Line Bob for Dark Skin

QA with Marcos Tasti Colorist / Hairstylist in Bahia Brazil This is classic 2C to 3A. This determines the hair’s size. For curling a cream activator and curly hair spray, I used a mousse memorizer. I put a soft finishing oil on the hair after drying on the diffuser. The advice that someone thinks about it? Our client didn’t like bright waves, so she used natural threads at all times. If you want a lightened hair, the natural dryness of the curls must be noted as they need more attention. A golden hue at 9/03’s height would look good for brunettes while a caramel tone’s lighter and yellowish skin would look very good in 7/703.

Live-in Bob A-LineWhat kind of customer do you suggest this look for? It’s a very flexible look. This look can be achieved by curly straight and wavy textures. It can remove large amounts of heavy hair and make this look lighter or add fullness to finer skin. Ideally it would be better to add volume and less upkeep to hair with a mild texture. For a girl on the go, this is a perfect hairstyle! The haircut itself is already really trendy without too much makeup, and with messy curls this look goes hand in hand.

Futuristic A-Line Bob with Bangs

QA with Milwaukee’s Confetti Studio Wi How would you characterize this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? I love bobs all over! The flat dramatic angle is my favorite thing about this precision angled bob. Most existing bobs have a slightly lower angle and at the bottom are more broken. From a few futuristic movies and anime characters, we took our inspiration. I love how the back length covers her face, making the beautiful shape that leads to her jawline. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? The dramatic angle on women with longer necks is perfect because there is enough distance between the jawline and the shoulders. My pictured client has perfectly straight and thick yet delicate hair. I did this look on very thick hair as well, but this needs an undercut to eliminate some bulk from the back. With or without bangs and on naturally wavy or curly hair, this haircut is incredible. Given its dramatic and edgy nature, it is highly customizable and flexible.

Sassy Purple A-Line Bob for Thin Hair

QA with designer style Arielle Cushman Cosmetology Student @ Northwest Beauty College in Beaverton Or How would you describe this look and what is your favorite thing about it? With some sass thrown in, I would characterize this look as classy. Ultimately, this theme is one of my favorites. What I love about this look is that it’s fun and short, but it’s universally flattering due to the face framing element! You can add a ton of volume to thin hair with this look or take a lot of bulk and weight out of thick hair. It’s not as daunting as some other short types because you’re still having some space around your head. This look can be preserved very easily. If you’ve got curly hair, just throw in and go your favorite curl item! I recommend a quick blow dry with a good heat protector if you’re going for a more sleek straight look and then run a flat iron over it. It takes such a short time and looks great! I would also recommend that your stylist touch the cut once every eight weeks or so in order to keep things fresh. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I can honestly say I’d recommend this style to anyone who wants a sleek, easy-to-maintain look. It’s perfect if you have thin hair and want to add more length and fullness, or if you have heavy, dense hair and want to take some weight off. Also, this is an all-encompassing theme and you can’t really go wrong. It’s particularly convenient for those of us with a fast-paced lifestyle like new moms (or moms in general!) students from office workers, etc. This is your theme! What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? Texture takes this haircut to the limit and holds us away from the hair helmet. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? To defend against heat and frizz, I put a lightweight spray oil on the hair when wet. I like the Argan oil of Agadir. I just paddled my hair until it was clean at 85% and then used a big circular brush until it was completely dry. First I kept the ends straight to show off the piecinity and texture. I finished with a light-shaped hairspray (Kenra or Retro brand) and finally after I’m happy with my result I hit it with Kenra’s Shine Spray and a firm hairspray sweep! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? The great thing about cutting and shaping is it works with all the forms of the head. If a guest has a rounder face, the length in the front and the side angle look flatters absolutely. If a guest has a wider, narrower face, on the other hand, the texture and hidden layers will add width and fullness to match the face shape. This look is a bob a-line textured. The hue is a violet to dark brown balayage and the wavy curls on the beach are fun and sassy. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? To retain this look, I suggest a color-treated hair shampoo such as Davines ‘ Minu. The perfect option to help with sun protection is that the sun will remove a lot of fashion tones. I recommend sunscreen for Su Hair Milk from Davines. Since fashion shades last only a short number of washes, a dry shampoo can help you get a few more days between washes that eventually prolong your color’s life. It will also help to add fine loose hair to your skin. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? If the most flexible cuts I know, an a-line is one. I suggest a shorter style (jaw or shorter) for heart-shaped and oblong shaped eyes. I suggest a longer style for round face shapes (shoulders or collarbone). An oval-shaped face like the one in the photo can wear any a-line bob length so it’s really personal preference. I wouldn’t give anybody who wants to wash their hair every day a fashion tone because it’s going to fade really soon. Purple is a great choice for those who want to enter the world of fashion tones comfortably because it transforms into a beautiful purple light and eventually a cool blonde.

Minimum Graduation A Line Bob

How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? This look has a soft and elegant a-line with minimal progression that gives the illusion of lengthening the neck by narrowing the jaw region and emphasizing the decolletage. The simplicity of this haircut is my favorite thing. Although the end result is technically challenging, it is very classic and timeless. This look is still in style! What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? Despite plenty of flyaways and little natural thickness, this particular client had very fine and silky hair. I wanted control, but without the weight or the feeling of a heavy product. I used Kerastase L’incredible Blowdry lotion which has a very lightweight smoothing effect and offers 96 hours of flex memory and anti-greasing technology to reduce the need to wash too often. This is perfect for fine hair because, while providing shape memory, it leaves the hair feeling soft and supple. We have a cream formula with the same advantages for coarse s. Having it look possible for a wide range of s. I suggest a flat brush mixing natural boar with synthetic bristles for smoothness and pressure, as well as a blow dryer for the most polished look with an attached nozzle. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This look is great for women 25-55 and is suitable for women who want a polished, effortless look with both fine and medium density hair texture. This look is perfect for company and weekend warriors looking more polished. It’s great for women with a square or round face shapes full jawline and women with shorter necklines. The consistency of the haircut line gives the jaw area power and stability that can often become weak and loose as we age. The bold line will give this region a definite feeling by narrowing the corners and softening a complete jawline’s harshness. It is necessary to make it look great as it is in the picture when blow drying. Women who dry air and have more wave to their natural hair will also benefit from baseline precision and limited graduation. Their natural texture, while adding neatness with their sometimes unruly natural texture, would appear more bold and organized. Sleek and Modern A Line Bob

QA with creator style Amy Harvey Master Colorist / Extension Specialist / Cutting Artist in Bountuful Ut How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite? This is an a-line textured interchangeable with a 2-inch undercut on the nape. For the consumer, it’s a very low maintenance cut because it lies perfectly alone. It is razor cut with a lightweight fringe on either side and drops beautifully in the back due to the undercut. The goods that I have used for this cut are from the Unite series. I spray the Boosta Spray at the pressure roots and the Leave-In 7 Seconds at the ends to seal the cuticula while still wet. I spray the Texture Spray on the roots during the drying process to give more textured movement and size. In order to finish, I spray the Tricky Spray (spray wax) on the whole head to describe and cut it all out. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This particular cut is built for my customers with thick hair as well as those who want to have fun with easy and low maintenance hair. That fits for thin hair as well as with the razor you’d just do less weight loss and less an undercut. The a-line is and will always be a classic. With a fresh feeling and elegance, it gives great hold and rise. Then I used four Featherbalm pumps from root to end and mostly blew it clean with my fingertips and then polished the ends with a medium-sized round comb. Finally, I used a pea-sized amount of Featherbalm to smooth her hair as a finishing material. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This look is so versatile and it works for almost anyone! That’s perfect on the go for everyone. It almost falls into place and is great for people who don’t want to spend a lot of time on their hair.

Ageless A-Line Bob for Women More than 50

QA with> Labella Salon in Pullman Washington This is one of my favorite hairstyles as it looks good at all ages and can be customized to accentuate features in different lengths. It’s not just when you leave the salon, it’s very easy to dress at home. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I’m using all the products from Aveda. To recreate this look, depending on the smoothing or volume I would use a prep. I like a lightweight tonic or foam on fine hair. I like a smoothing cream and a little Confixor to hold the shape for thicker coarser hair. Using my hands to create volume and texture, I like to blow dry to about 50%. I use a round brush for the last 50 percent to lay down the cuticle and give a nice bend at the ends. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? The a-line bob is great because it can be customized for your guests. If your face is round, for a more flattering look, you can keep it under the chin. You can add more volume for a longer face to create a more balanced structure. I also like using paint to incorporate haircut proportions and contours.

Red Hair Adjusted A-Line

It is basically a matter of how short the front is cut and form that anyone with any or face shape can pull this off! For those of us with thick hair, texture is so important. I would suggest staying under the chin and a longer layer for a fuller head. This will be one of the easiest hairstyles you will ever have for a daily look and with the right products.

Bangs Horizontal Graduated A-Line

How would you characterize this look and what is your favorite? This is a horizontally graded point-cut a-line bob. I call it my French Girl Bob. It provides height in the crown area and it doesn’t kick / flip up by lifting it off the shoulders. The remaining weight gives maximum body and movement. Optional is the fringe. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? Maintain simple tools and services. You don’t want to feel like a beauty supply store in your shower! A great finish is paramount to teaching customers exactly how to use the products / tools they buy. This look requires a large Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep and the Texture Tonic of Aveda paddle comb. It needs a dry flat-wrap blow as for styling. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This is one of my favorite cuts because in a ponytail it’s super flirty and to add personality you can express yourself with light. For a more sophisticated look, think of bright pink for fun or plain balayage.

Fall-Inspired A-Line Bob

How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? My client wanted a bob inspired by fall and asked for some chunky blonde and red highlights with a dark chocolate hair as the foundation. Then I used Redken’s Pravana paint for my blonde and toning. My favorite thing about this look is that it depends on how long you leave the front just about anyone can pull off an a-ine bob. For any face shape, I find that this particular look is very slimming. And all these rich reds I love! What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I love using the products of Auro Pur and White Sands! I used the White Sands Medium Hold Thermal Spray all over on clean towel dry hair then used a circular brush to smooth the hair of my client. To build these beachy waves, I used my slim Babyliss flat iron. I used about a dime-sized quantity of the Auro Pur Hair Polish around her ends after letting her curls cool and smooth some flysways. I finished her look with the Stuck Up White Sands hairspray that smells amazing! I really feel like anybody can pull off a bob. It’s one of my favorite haircuts certainly! I typically tailor the size of the front to the face shape of the client. Others love to look more dramatic and some love to look more straightforward. My client also has a natural curl, so this look also looks cute curly and is an easy thing to do in the morning for my client.

Sheared A-Line

QA with Bri Vaughn Hairstylist style designer @ Level Beauty Bar in San Luis Obispo Ca How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? This look is a simple and elegant a-line haircut made with shears on the request of my client. I personally love to make this cut with a razor for a broken look a little bit more. I believe that this style of cut highlights the jawline and gives a bob a more feminine edge. What products do you recommend for this look to be maintained and recreated? Use a flat brush around the nape region to smooth out any waves and cowlicks by drying the hair brushing back and forth. Use a broad round brush to create a small volume throughout the crown area. I accompanied the blowout with a flat iron smoothing strands a little more. Use a flat brush to smooth it out with a flat iron if volume is not your thing. Finish with a smoothing fluid Aveda Light Elements pump. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? Personally I would recommend it to almost anyone because of the many combinations you can create with this cut. Depending on your face shape and lifestyle, you can add bangs that stack or undercut a more dramatic textured angle ends with wispy sheets. Virtually there are endless variations! QA with Jennifer Almodovar Freelance Master Hairstylist / Colorist in South Miami How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite? This look I’d describe as funny and tough! The color is soft enough to give you a diverse look to wear a casual event or a night out with a business attire. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? My favorite brand to use to retain the color would be the Chromasilk shampoo from Pravana. I recommend Olaplex 3 once a week to keep your hair soft and bright. My favorite device is a 1-inch iron to replicate the waved living-in feel. Partially curl the whole head away from the ends and finish with a bit of pomade and run through your fingers. I like scrunching the scalp a little to keep the volume! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? With this question, I’m having a hard time because I would genuinely suggest this look for any user! The shape of the head or the lifestyle doesn’t matter. You’re not making the hair that makes you. This is a haircut lob (or long bob) I created for my most soulful client. She came in for a full haircut and highlight. She had a grown-up line that lost the form and body of life. We settled on a textured lob with a wide perimeter after a detailed consultation. I just love how her hair’s weight is reflected through the motion provided by just enough texture. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? Goods can differ with a bob because with each texture it gives flexibility! Use Awaken Mist Leave-In Conditioner and Surface Awaken Protein Mousse for thin, delicate and smoother skin. Such goods are intended in combination to add smooth volume and stability which allows bouncy control. They will also strengthen and protect the thickening of smooth condition. For a smooth blowout or a well-behaved scrunched look, this combination works great if you’d rather dry air! L’Orà © al Tecni. Art Lumi ContrÃ’le is a great finishing product that adds brightness and defines a more polished appearance. A bit goes a long way! Taffy Whip is a solid choice for a flexible bouncy blowout or diffuse beach waves or curls for coarse hair! I can apply a little dab of Absolut Repair Blow-Dry Cream from L’Oreal to the ends for a smooth blowout with more damaged coarse hair. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? What I love most about the bob is that it gives the customer enough opportunity to take healthy chances, making me a cheeseball for their entire service as their stylist. When my clients take a risk on my suggestion, I feel honored. This demands confidence and speaks volumes about a woman’s trust in her stylist. Most women balance the length of their hair with their sensuality and femininity. There’s so much about the bob that’s enhancing my hair nerdery and sculpting hair love. First of all, the bob (whether stacked blunt asymmetrical a-line razored textured undercut formed lob twisted chin-length shingle shaggy disconnected etc.) is still a bob. Customization is the difference. Any face shape has a bob and it can suit any lifestyle! The bob celebrates the unification of two size worlds seamlessly. Nothing is more rewarding than textured hair into submission. Every facet of the woman rocking it is sculpted regardless of the texture the bobs I create. The bob is an extremely versatile power play. A bob can be as edgy as it can be gentle and delicate to allow the attached person to experience a variety of styles at all levels of effort. Creating great relationship and trust with your stylist is the secret to an amazing bob! Pictures are helpful in showing what influenced you and your stylist can speak about how and why he or she will customize it. With a well-sculpted bob, there are no bad hair days. Versatile Width A-Line

QA with Portland Summit Salon Academy Or How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite about it? What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? In order to prepare and protect my Sam Villa flat iron to form a casual subtle curl and Matrix Height Riser on the roots, this look was created with Matrix Heat Buffer to add volume and manageability. I like to teach my customers a simple flat iron curl that they can recreate with a tool that they usually already have at home. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? To a client who wants the best of both worlds, I recommend this style. The shape and shorter back length nicely accentuate the neck and shoulders while a beautiful frame around the face is set by the longer front length. The a-line can be easily adjusted around the face to match the facial features of each individual client.
