This style will best suit someone with a friendly personality / expression that is bold and edgy. For things like prom dances photo shoots and fashion shows, this look will hold up well. All night I’ll keep my own and stand out in the crowd! I would describe this look as classy casual
A with Olivia Arendt Stylist / Balayage Artist design designer The gray blonde color takes a lot of time and upkeep to keep the hue the same. Investing in a salon-quality shampoo and conditioner to help preserve the color quickly fades. The braid is a great way to add to your look some texture and appeal.
Effortlessly Lovely Touchable
A in Sarah Hairstylist / Colorist style I love how lovely and touchy these curls feel. You can tell that she feels beautiful and you get the feeling that on the dance floor she’s going to shoot her all night! You certainly need to recognize the willingness of the client to retain curl in the hair texture. This model has long, thick hair below her waist. I used a 1 1/4-inch barrel iron working spray to curl and then pinned the hair for 45 minutes to cool. Upon splitting the curls very slightly, I used a finishing spray. All these steps ensured that the look would last throughout the night.I would characterize this look as a combination of multiple braids to create a fun updo. My favorite thing about it is all the texture it makes and how it can last throughout the day. It’s perfect when you want your hair to stay up all day for hot and humid times. It’s perfect if you want a hairstyle you don’t have to think about this look. It’s going to stay all day and night! The updo has several braids so you’ve got to start with a lot of hair. With thin hair, it just won’t have the same effect. The color helps a lot ditionally because it shows all the details in the theme. To keep the flyaways down and give a finished look, I used Monat Styling Taffy near the roots for this model. I finished the Refinish Monat Hairspray design for the whole day.
A with design designer Rachel Lusk Hair Make-up Artist My favorite thing about this style is how simple and flexible it is. To create a beautiful look for bridesmaids, you can use it as an on – the-go style or add some basic accessories and curls. To keep it nice and sleek, you can add texture or volume to the crown to make it messy and textured or brush the style near your head. I recommend that you blow your hair out with a volumizing mousse before styling for a more voluminous look. To achieve a sleeker look, straighten the hair and add a pomade to keep it smooth and easy around the hairline and crown area. You can always add a few lines of clip-in hair extensions if you want to build more body in the ponytail!
Braided Mohawk
A creator-style Sandra Joseph Pureartist I just love this simple but fun braid that can be worn out for lunch shopping or dressed up for an evening event. It also fits well as a theme of the second day. You should expect to see a stunning wavy look after you cut out the braid. This gives a higher Mohawk finish that is durable and can last a few days because the braid is stacked on itself. Hot tip! Hot tip. Roll the ponytail into a bun and secure for an evening out for dinner with a few pins. This is a look for the long-haired ladies, but you can always clip a piece of hair to add length around a short ponytail. As far as a hair texture is concerned, it works on most styles of hair. Nonetheless, it works best with minimal layers. The finished look is great with all the colors of the hair and the braid character is provided by added highlights. A volumizing mousse to add texture and grip is all you need to fashion this look. Pureology Rootlift is recommended because it can be used on dry or damp skin. Then blow the hair upside down and add the cream throughout. More styling steps can be found on my
Dutch + Fishtail Braid in a Messy Bun for this exact lookIf you have a lot of hair or just like your skin, this is your look. I love braid blonde hair and it looks amazing with its highlights. This look is great to dance under the stars for a night!
Twylla Jane Redken Artist Braided Detail
A with fashion maker This is a half-updo with volume through the top soft curls and side-swept braid detail. My favorite thing about this look is that without being over the top, it’s formal. It works from a date night to a black tie event to a marriage for any reason. A decorative comb or clip could be put above or below the braid in order to take the fancy up a notch. For the half-updo volume at the end, backcombing is making, then keeping bobby pins in place. The advantage is that if pinned well, style will last until the next day! Tie the hair loosely and add the next day a headband for a bohemian chill and trendy look.
Elegant Boho Chic
How are you going to characterize this look and what is your favorite? It’s a boho chic look. I? Like how smooth and messy I am? Could still make it look elegant. What tricks or items to recreate this look are you recommending? I? Blow dried in the hair a workable hairspray. I curled the whole head flat iron away from the face. We used a ponytail and lots of bobby pins and hair pins to build the form after lots of back combing. We finished with a spray of brightness and a hard hairspray hold.

What tricks or items to replicate this look are you recommending? Start with freshly blown hair to recreate this sophisticated half-up style. I love my mid-size Babyliss Pro Volare V2 Hair Dryer and without my Oribe Volumista root pump spray I never blow my hair dry. Instead I consider using a 1 1/4-inch curling iron if you want your curls to last all night. I’m using Marcel Irons Hot Materials. Curl and level the head with the curls until they’re all cooled. I use Kenra Volume 25 hairspray on each curl before pinning each curl to the head. Put the curls off. Then segment your hair in three parts with a tail comb: front left (from the top of your head to the back of your left ear) front right (from the top of your head to the back of your right ear) and then cut out the whole back section. Starting with a tiny horizontal section at the very top of your head to get the volume at the crown of your head and the overall half-up style form. Take it back and add Big Sexy Powder Game. Repeat this step four or five times more until you reach the volume level you want for your half-up look. Protect your poof at the back of your head with four bobby pins. Use the pick side of your teasing comb to get even more lift if you need even more volume. It also gives my brides volume that will certainly last until their reception plays the last song! A with creator style Breeanne Color Specialist This look is sultry and ready for a night out in the area! We painted her with a jet black hair dye shine gloss, then with some bouncy waves we styled her long locks. Go ahead with it! Compared to other color options, having a dark solid color is such a low maintenance. It’s a timeless feel, too. Big waves are always on the trend and so quick to handle. It gives off the feeling you’ve done without too much striving.
Pop with Pink Highlights
I’d characterize this as a scanning melt. It’s a dark brown base at the top melted into some dark magenta highlights that move down to the ends from the middle of the hair. According to my customer who has a finer texture, I cut her hair blunt with just a few face-framing layers to give her some form. I waved my hair with a flat iron to finish the look. For help keep the magenta color longer, use a sulfate-free shampoo. Using a leave-in barrier after washing will also help as well as trying to go longer between washes as the color will fade every time you wash. For prolong the shower, dry shampoo helps. This color is a bold and funky change of color for anyone who wants to keep their natural base and develop a more subtle one.
A style creator Iris Cisneros Stylist This customer came in with jet black hair dye wanting to take off the black color she’s been wearing for years.Celso Ramirez Hairstylist / Barber A with style creator The color is a blue undertone / cast jet black. I love the subtlety of it because in the warmer months, everyone usually likes to be light and blonde. It was a nice change of pace to do this color, particularly as even simple black hair color can be tweaked to give it some visual interest! As far as the style was concerned, I gave my client a nice trim and decided to refresh her layers and bring them up a bit to give a more defined and fuller look to the blowout! I used Paul Mitchell slim serum for lightweight frizz prevention and brilliant Kenra platinum blow-dry spray for heat safety and smoothness as well as Paul Mitchell dry wax to add a nice light hold to the finish and make the layers look nice and formed!
Natural Black
The size of this look is not too short or too long. If someone is used to having long hair and this shoulder length bob wants to make a switch, their haircut would be practical and stylish. It would make the cut sharp edgy and trendy to have a blunt one-length haircut. Moving from short to long is going to be perfect for those people who want their face to look longer! It’s something you can apply to your haircut to have layers face frame or bangs. Any layers or minimal layers like this natural black hair bob will make your ends look thicker and more suitable for thin hairy women!
A with Ivan Castro Style Creator Licensed Hairstylist To describe this look I would use the name angled bob in black jet hair colour. I like this particular combination of cut and color because it can be rocked in a solid color, but it still has enough personality to stand out. We blow dried to 100 percent dry and flat ironed to style using small sections at a time, all prepared with a spray that covers water. I like this particular cut because it fits a lot of shapes of the face. It’s perfect for round heads as it balances roundness and can work for square shapes as well as oval shapes. Main is where your face jaw or shoulder was struck by the haircut lines. This cut is little to no upkeep when styling for customers with naturally straight hair. If you have a wave or curl in your hair, using a heat-protecting styling spray, you can use flat iron straight or get this cut in a friendly curl version. A perfect way to keep this cut smooth is by a licensed professional using a keratin smoothing device.15 Traditional Crimped Hair Concepts from the 80’s and 90’s

Crimping Long Hair
A with fashion designer Lacey Stephens Color Specialist I started with this client’s full head of baby lights. I love making babylights because it provides the ability to grow smoothly and allows customers to look great with less maintenance. With an ice blonde, we glazed her. After preparing her with my favorite Kenra heat protection, I used my mini hair crimper for the style. I like the crimper style because it gives a great deal of texture and weight. I love it, too, because it’s a new style. I finished her look with easy cross-pinned twists. All right! Go for it! The paint has a lifetime of several months, and the crimper is easy to use. The only device you need is a mini clip crimper and, if needed, some bobby pins. The only thing you need is a heat-protective professional.
Loose Crimped Tresses
A with McKinsey Marrara Owner / Cosmetologist / Barber design makerMy advice is to match the look with a leather jacket and a dark smokey eye you’re going to make sure you turn some heads!
Cute Zig Zags
This look was created from scratch by adding a custom paint to form the cut and design. With the contradiction of heavy texture, this look is calm earthy and natural. The most important part of this look is the updo’s contrasting colors. Even though the new growth is so dim, the light will turn seamlessly into the color and style! For anyone with fine hair or hair that’s too weak to put up quickly, I’d recommend this look. Using a micro crimper adds a lot of texture and grit to the hair, making it easier for you to mold it into shapes and pin it up without the hair falling. I think this look can be pulled off by anyone regardless of the shape of the head. It’s classy because, thanks to the crimping, it’s mostly pulled back at the neck’s nape but edgy. You won’t have to worry about your crimped hair coming undone after using a few bobby pins and spraying with hairspray, so this is perfect for even the busiest of people!
A with Renee Caron Stylist Stylist This hairstyle is natural and even beautiful in its proportions. With a touch of sparkle it’s Viking cool! Have hair for at least one day or two that hasn’t been washed. I notice that, when trying to get the shape you’re looking for, they hold better and give better grip. I’m sure some people are going to disagree, but I think it works best for me. My advice to look at this rock it! I used all Unite hair products to style this! I used Unite Liquid Volume for the first time for extra volume control and long-lasting keeping. I ended up managing some flyaways with Unite Texturiza, but I left the hair light and still felt like skin. I changed my curling iron to 320 because of the hair tinsel and left it for the tinsel to take shape for a few seconds longer than usual! That’s really important! Crimp shampoo will curl the hair tinsel and can stay for weeks. It only takes a little extra time to keep the form in a medium heat curling iron! I’d use the crimper (crimping iron) and curls on any texture or color of the hair length! For the tinsel, well, with sparkle, you can never go wrong! It’s a huge consideration with this many braids as well as everything else that goes on long hair! There’s nothing that a little cream can’t help you with if you have fine hair or thin hair! If you have bangs, some of the diagonal crimps could be straightened or added to them. This is certainly a hairstyle I think for any occasion anyone can rock from a funny wedding hairstyle to a why not look every day!
A with fashion designer Sarah Elwell Hairstylist / Color Designer We definitely went to the 90’s retro space girl theme when we created this look! To create a nice smokey silver root and a slime green base, I used all the Pulp Riot paint. Black Hair Crimping
This look is simpler and less maintenance-friendly. Typically after a week of them, this particular crimping style sinks into body waves and you don’t have to do much until your next touch up! It’s an old favorite for me because in my younger years I recall having my hair crimped. It’s fun, but in a way it’s also flirting and anybody can wear crimps so it’s always nice. Keep your hair frizz free and away from fabrics such as cotton when lounging or sleeping as it can be drying and lead to potential shedding or tangling. For smooth and manageable tresses, a satin cap or pillowcase and a lightweight silk or argan oil are recommended. When styling the items that were used are two of my favorite styling and holding sprays (Ors Oil sheen and Sebastian Reshaper) that give the hair a nice weightless shine and medium to firm hold along with the S-wave crimping device of the Bed Head brand. © 2019 Colors Hair Style All Styles Formal Switch Up Your Look: 41 Different Hairstyles to Try

Short Pompadour
A Naiara Judith Cuevas style creator Hairstylist For me this look is for people with a lot of personality. If you want to look something else, it’s bold and really sweet. I love it when they ask for a new thing. Generally this hairstyle is for guys, but why not?! Find the face and hair style as straight or curly as it may be. Think about how every day you want to make your hairstyle. The cut should be suited to your lifestyle. Find a good guy to help on your new hairstyle.
A creator-style Simon Townley Hairdresser This look is a new individual haircut. At the same time, it’s androgynous yet very feminine. It’s fun and organized. My favorite thing about this is how it can be changed depending on moods and what I love to create depth and texture is the explosion of colors. (Matrix color) If you have this look, I’d like to remind you that you’ve got to spend time on it. People think that short hair is easier if it is the opposite. It includes curl services and adds shines to keep the hair looking timely. I actually use Matrix mess maker and Matrix’s smooth dry blow cream as well and blend as a dry blow cocktail. Finished to give it life with the high riser in the root field.
Bob
AsymmetricalIt can be very quick in styling so it’s ideal for someone who wants a great look but has plenty of time to spend in the morning on their hair. I use RCo Dallas spray on damp hair on the roots combined with the mousse RCo Chiffon. I just say it’s a long way a perfect blowout! I use a 2-1/8 in Olivia Garden ceramic ion and over-direct each part of the hair from the back. I give a little bend to the hair framing the head with the brush pointing it away from the face and hitting it on the ends with coolness. Using a 1-1/4 in curling iron (leaving the ends out for a textured look) or using a flat iron, you can always place a few waves in it. Both Unite Texturiza or RCo Trophy are my absolute favorites to finish the look I always go to a texture spray! I’m just playing the spray and all that hair!
Deep A-Line Lob
A Kat Baghdasarian Master Stylist Stylist What I love about this look is that it offers the consumer the best of both worlds! It’s edgy at the same time, but girly. There is motion and body in the back, but the length for a cool flirty feel is retained in the front! Color and highlights add depth and size to any customer that may have a fine texture of skin. The A-line bob needs a certain item of maintenance and styling. I used Redken Velvet Gelatine blowdry gel to achieve the smooth a-line blowout. Redken Triple Take 32 hairspray is the final product. It’s not a kind of get-up-and-go style and in order to sit properly, the layers will need to be round cleaned. Slicked Back
A with style creator Alex Gonzalez Hairstylist This look works best with oval face shape but I strongly believe that any look can be pulled off. This cut is low maintenance and perfect for somebody on the go. No matter the occasion, for the grocery store or evening gala, a slicked-back look is elegant enough. The hair still looks perfect for women! I prefer lightweight items that have a grip but stay away from gel or mousse because it makes the hair look rigid or sticky.
High Fashion Pixie
A with fashion designer Maryam Hairstylist This pixie cut style is a chic contemporary combination of color design and entirely cut. The haircut featured more than the normal traditional pixie with pointy bits on the arms, thin layers on top. When paired with this ash blonde color and this particular style, it looks more modern. I styled it to be shaggy on the back and some pieces, turning it into sleek waves that added texture on the top and around the face and the volume that made it float forward. I like the use of gold bobby pins in this hair art because they’re not covered. On the foot, they crossed each other and balanced the textures in perfect harmony. Bright Different Lob
I hope the new hair trends are more natural and healthy this year! I’m all about that! The perfect happy medium is this slightly pointed long bob (lob). I constantly preach flexibility and I always suggest some kind of medium-length haircut if you’re looking for more of a style or switch! I think there’s a common misconception that shorter hair is simpler and so many people choose to take the bob from long to chin length thinking it’s going to be less wearing and styling job. In all honesty, it’s all about how much time and effort you want to invest in your body! I always recommend a lob like this customer when going from long to short due to how flexible it is and how easy a ponytail can be! You can still get your hair in a chic bun or sleek ponytail at this length and it can be very edgy when you put it down, whether it’s messy wavy curly or smooth! My customer has a medium textured hair, and I truly believe that any texture, whether fine or coarse, can rock that length! When it comes to color shaping and positioning, I think that confidence and personality will overshadow traditional norms with what is considered acceptable and unacceptable for different face shapes. I always take into account the shape of someone’s face when interacting with my clients, but I don’t think if someone has a round face that means you can’t pull off the chin length or above!
Awesomely Asymmetrical
A model Serena Vazquez Balayage Specialist / Junior Artist I’d certainly describe this look as an Edgy Ash Blonde Bob. The haircut is my favorite part of that look. It’s so fun to create the right texture and shape with a good cut! My advice to customers is to think about their lifestyle and if they can keep their hair. You will need to consider investing in a good purple shampoo to avoid brass particularly for this ashy look and a conditioning mask to prevent dryness when it comes to blonde. I wanted to go with a dark root because I know it’s not always time for my client to come in every 5-6 weeks for her contact. For those who are looking for a low maintenance light, a shadow root is always perfect.I’d characterize this cook as a shiny caramel foil. This can be a color of low maintenance. It’s a great choice of color for dark to medium brunettes who still want light and vibrant hair but don’t want to be too blonde. I advise my customers to always use items of salon quality (sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner) to ensure a good, durable color. Different Hair with Tousled Effortless
A with style designer Alyssa Bustamante Hairstylist My recommendation for this haircut is to use items to give you the allied look and without any effort. My favorite go-to brand is the Dry Texture Spray from Oribe.
Revised asymmetric shag
A with Jessica Senior Stylist Educator style maker I would characterize this look as a revised asymmetric shag. My favorite thing about this cut is that while it’s still easy to wear it is fascinating. This particular hair style works best with a natural texture or wave. Full by mixing a bit of wax and a bright oil in your hands scrunching this mixture into your hair starting from the back and moving towards the front. The natural surface is smooth and coaxed into enjoyable flips and waves. Use some wax to exaggerate the asymmetric-ness to smooth the side on which it is separated behind your ear.

‘ Contoured Balayage
A with Samuel Mackmin style creator Hairstylist What I like about this look is how the color actually adds a feature around the face. Just like contouring your face with makeup, I feel that the color of your hair can have a similar effect! For years, my client had no color in her natural hair. We just brightened her up around her face instead of doing a full head. The contrast will be too high and less realistic depending on how dark the hair color is, don’t go too far with the lightness. I used a 1 1/2-inch curling tongue from the ghd to style the hair and curled the hair off the face before combing the curls with a large tooth comb. I used a dry oil spray and a textured spray for match. Angled-Forward Bob
A Taylor Lowe Stylist with style creator Are you curling your hair? Good! Great, good! For a messy and choppy feel, let’s do less layering. Are you more of a gal-like wash and go? That’s all right too! For a more relaxed style, let’s keep it longer to sweep back into a fast pony or let it air dry. For a more modern and polished feel, you can round brush and flat iron skin. I think that anyone can look like this egg. Speak to your stylist about the length and angle that will work best for you. If you rock a fun and edgy bob, items are very important. I’m a fan of products from Arrojo because they are cost-effective and you don’t need a lot of products to get the look you’re looking for. So I used the Daily Shampoo and Daily Conditioner for shine and nourishment without weighing down the hair. I also threw some hold and frizz control in Styling Whip as a heat-protective. I’m also a fan of a do – it-all styler like a mousse or gel based on lightweight argan-oil. These days, the innovation of the consumer has come so far, is less. Simply keep it fun and note it’s just hair! If you always wanted it to be finished by bangs. If you want this look to be combined with an undercut go for it! Life is too short to always look the same. ‘ Texturized Bob
A Nicolas Flores Hairstylist with a fashion maker I will describe this as a textured bob above the shoulder. For a more edgy look, I tend to add a slight angle to the front. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I really love to inspire customers to try to recreate my looks. Starting with great products like the Sally Hershberger 24 K Wave Spray and a water-based pomade is the secret to this look. Both products work together to give traction to your ends and make the hair look a little more lived-in. I feel like this look would work on almost anybody. It’s a simple haircut with low maintenance that can literally dry air. More and more consumers are coming to ask for this short duration. It’s the girl’s new look! Classic Bowl Haircut
A with Alessandro Barca Stylist Stylist How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I worked at the London Fashion Week and by using matte cosmetics and lightweight hairsprays, everyone can see how we keep the hair as natural as possible. For this look, the ideal density would be medium / fine, but as the picture shows, it can also work with thick density creating an undercut. I always want to take the suitability into account so I wouldn’t suggest this design for the shapes of the round head. We like to push boundaries as hairdressers so cutting precision is a strength for us! This stunning hairstyle is reminiscent of the glamorous frizz waves of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex In The City.
