A with Master Stylist / Colorist This is a modern look. We’re going to call it a mid-long razor slice. My client wanted something professional to demonstrate her personality as a news anchor, but still young and up-to-date. I chose to use a razor as it helped me to carve shape and remove weight from her long, thick hair. To build flexibility and fluidity, we added a lot of soft layers (both inner and surface) around her face and throughout the body. This helps to provide a square jawline with volume at the top and crown. It cut with a touch of texture can be done polished or lived-in. It’s going to work on most since this look ismid-length. Keep in mind that the razor may be aggressive on your delicate locks if your hair texture is finer, so it’s better to use the shears. Try to wear an off-centered part instead of a side part if you have more of a round face to slim and lengthen the face. Use a leave-in material to smooth the cuticula and protect against heat to shape. I used all-in – one milk from Davines. I sprayed Davines for density This is a Sea Salt Spray at the top and crown of the roots. I finished the look with a tall, medium-sized round comb.

A with Hairdresser My favorite part about this style is color positioning. Through her light, she gets the right amount of pop in the right places. Her haircut gives her the bounce and versatility in a shorter style, and the front length gives her the illusion of a longer mid-length cut. It’s both worlds ‘ finest! For someone who doesn’t mind spending a little extra time styling, this look is ideal. The hairstyle is very basic, but with heat styling and products you can spice it up! Ding some bends or curls can create a textured look that’s super stylish. Ding spray texture can give you a lived-in beachy look after it’s designed. By adding a few curls to create a soft wave, this look can also be styled. D a mid-length shine serum and pull through your ends. Combine to create soft waves with a wide-toothed comb. Keep in mind that the bigger your iron will be the larger the curls. Go with a smaller iron and smaller sections if you want a textured beachy look. You can use a smoothing cream and a round brush to smooth the skin, last but not least, to create a smooth look. Use a flat iron thermal spray and smooth. For a smooth and sleek mid-length style, finish it off with a shine spray or serum! This hairstyle can go one direction or the other. You may put cream or mousse in some light coloring and dry the hair for an effortless look or style for more body and texture. This look will work for someone with thick or thinner hair if textured correctly. Ultimately, I believe that this cut can be worn by anyone with easy length and texture changes!

Living-In Freestyle Hair

The next horizontal segment will start to form our next day shape and show the cheekbones. I keep going through the horizontal parts to / from the bang zone. I like to go away from the face for the bangs to make sure we open those eyes! My favorite thing about this style is that it brings some flexibility to the guest. It makes them slow down, thinking about what they’re doing, not just the normal robotic curl they’re doing to themselves. It’s always so flattering and it makes the colors look incredible. Safe parts are my first piece of advice! I think people are rushing through the curl and I’m really trying to live the slow down to speed up saying! Take the time to separate the front from the back and use the ear as a reference on where to differentiate. I love a good dry texture spray at the root (my favorite is Oribe) and then some through the ends before and after curling. If you’ve got finer hair spray all over a little hairspray to help last the look. I’m trying to let the curl settle down and cool down a bit before I run through my fingers.
