She went on to say that she didn’t really understand the story when she posted it: “I kept thinking of it as physical, but it was more of a psychological abuse… which spanned a few months. I went along with it and tried to get his support because we worked together… I needed my work atmosphere to be easy.” She was reluctant to speak up at the time because she didn’t want to be branded as a diva or drama queen or risk holding up the project for thousands of people who worked on it. This apprehension was not unfounded, and is a product of these accusations all-too-common. Lili Reinhart is a passionate advocate of women’s rights. Reinhart not only reflects on her own experiences, but also sheds light on other topics affecting her and actively helps other women who are under attack. She sang high praises for sharing her story of domestic abuse with Melissa Benoit of Glee and Supergirl, saying: “I think she helped a lot of people through this. If people come across an instance of sexual harassment or physical violence or dealing with a disorder, they inspire others not to suffer in silence.” In her Allure interview, the issue of fair pay for women also arose as a question in her life. She said she was influenced by Michelle Williams and Taraji P. Henson’s likes and that she learned: “I won’t consider anything less than what I think I’m worth.
