Stronger Than Pride – Movie Stronger Than Pride

Directed in 1940 by Robert Z. Leonard, “Stronger Than Pride” is a feature film based on the novel “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen. It was starred in, among others, Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier. The film won the Oscar for best artistic direction.

The action of the film is set in the 19th century. It tells us the story of the five Bennet sisters, whose main wish is to get married.

When Dancy, a handsome young man, settles in the neighboring house, all the sisters go to yearn for him, except Elizabeth, one of the sisters, with whom the young man gets on badly.

From here, a relationship begins between the two young people based above all on the pride that dominates both.
