Selena Gomezs Morning Routine

Barack and Michelle Obama: A Picture Timeline of One of the Most Loyal Political RelationshipsArticles May 28, 2016 Trailers are just as much a part of today’s film-going experience as the films themselves. There’s something incomparably thrilling about seeing what a 2-minute sizzle reel of the best scenes of a release amounts to. That’s why trailer culture has proliferated into what it is today, and made it a day to look forward to even the release date of a short teaser. In the spirit of these, our team gathers the best the internet has to give to bring all the trailers and teasers that you can handle every week in one location.

1. Star Trek Beyond Star Trek Beyond came under a fair deal of fire upon release of its first trailer. Director Justin Lin is known more than his sci-fi acumen for his work in the Fast and Furious series and the initial run of footage seemed to mirror that. Played over the “Sabotage” Beastie Boys it had no relation to the more sophisticated ideology of the cerebral which has powered Star Trek since its early days. Though you certainly can’t blame Lin for taking the series in a more action-oriented direction while competing with the likes of superheroes and Star Wars. The second trailer that just released this week is doing a great deal to assuage some of those initial concerns. We get a good look at Idris Elba as our main villain is a glimpse inside the more dramatic elements of the story, and a soundtrack that does not conjure up images of Vin Diesel driving a Camaro. Combine this with a script penned by superfan Simon Pegg and there are plenty of reasons to feel positive about the chances of the film being calculated to the fans’ sky-high expectations. 2.

The Good Place

The show stars Kristen Bell as a woman who’s recently passed away living in an afterlife paradise known as “The Good Place” (duh). Where everybody gets to meet their soul-mate drink without hangovers and eat comfortably frozen yogurt at any time, it is everything anyone could ever want. The only catch is that the character of Bell is only there because of a clerical error and has actually lived a not – so-great life that would put her in “The Bad Spot” if any of the higher-ups were smart. The trailer looks like a little hokey but it’s certainly in safe hands considering Schur’s comprehensive comedy resume. 3.

Beauty and the Beast

Disney’s live-action rebooting machine saw its first major success with the announcement of news of a live-action reboot for The Little Mermaid that could mark the next step in Disney’s quest to revive everything you loved as a child. Though it doesn’t necessarily mean they should just because they can. After taking off from 2014, Pixar had a huge year in 2015 releasing not one but two movies. The first Inside Out was an instant classic that entered the great animated film pantheon pioneered by the first Toy Story. While an appealing initial idea, the second The Good Dinosaur fell well short of the studio’s bar set early in the year. This year with the quasi-sequel Finding Dory we are back to the one-Pixar-movie-per-year cycle. The film will concentrate on Nemo’s amnesiac friend, once again voiced by Ellen Degeneres as she goes in search of the family that she had forgotten. @NickNorthwest
