Prince – Prince Biography

, son of Mattie Shaw a jazz singer and John L. Nelson, lyricist and pianist.

In 1976, already with the artistic name of Prince, the young singer released a couple of songs with which he was quite successful, and for the following year at the age of 19, he began negotiations with Warner Records to record.

Prince he would instantly become Warner’s youngest producer.

The 1978 comes out “For you”, An album in which he played 23 instruments, a really R & B album. Already in those years that mysterious and sexual musician began to become, whose myth would bring him so many followers.

In 1991, Prince he started a new band called The New Power Generation; with this band he would release singles such as “Diamond and pearls“,”Cream“, Y “Gett off“. Over time, Prince changed his stage name to a symbol, prompting people to call him, “The artist formerly known as Prince“. Prince he soon returned to his stage name.
In the 1990s, he continued to release singles such as “Came“,”The Gold Experience“,”Chaos And Disorder“, Y “Emancipation“.
Already in the new millennium, the artist released new material such as a religious album called “The Rainbow Children“, and others like”One Nite Alone“,”The Chocolate Invasion” Y “The Slaughter House“In 2005 he had a collaboration with Stevie Wonder on the latter’s single”What the fuss“.

In all of his career years, his name has been on the Billboard charts nearly 30 times and he has 18 award-winning albums. In 2004 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Prince died on April 21, 2016 in Chanhassen, Minnesota, at his Paisley Park recording studio. He was 57 years old.
