Alysa Liu became the youngest person to win a single title at the U.S. figure skating championships stealing the show with two triple axles on Friday night 26 January 2019 and taking the title more than six months before her 14th birthday. Defending champion Bradie Tennell the leader dropped during her free skate after Thursdays short program and Liu skating immediately after taking advantage of breezing through her routine after the two early triple axles one of which was in combination.

Alysa Liu was born in the United States of Clovis California. She is Arthur Liu’s elder daughter an attorney who, in the 1990s, immigrated from the Sichuan Province in southwestern China to the United States. He has four brothers numbered Julia Joshua and Justin, a younger sister named Selina, and triplet siblings. Going through her education Three years later she went to Chinese School and then attended the Oakland School for the Arts, which emphasizes figure skating. She started to miss too much school during her early school life due to traveling to competitions. She began homeschooling in between practices at her father’s law office. Alysa Liu started skating at age five. Her first skating competition in 2015 was as a juvenile. At the U.S. 2016 She became the youngest lady in championships to win an intermediate gold medal. She finished fourth in the 2017 U.S. Competitive championships in the Novice category. At the 2017 Asian Open Trophy, where she finished second for Mana Kawabe of Japan. She was the youngest skater to compete in the 2018 United States Junior Division. California championships in San Jose. She won the championship. She was unable to compete in the 2018 World Junior Championships however because she was not old enough. Then she was sent to the 2018 International Challenge Cup, where she received the advanced silver novice medal behind Japan’s Hanna Yoshida. In August 2018 Liu played in Bangkok Thailand as a novice for the 2018 Asian Open Trophy. She won the gold.
